Joe Biden opens his mouth:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden says that paying higher taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans.

As usual, the AP declines to mention that Obama’s tax hike will hit business owners – amusingly, this puts them ahead of Joe Biden, who was apparently unaware of the tax hike in the first place – but still: it’s nice to see that the venerable Democratic tradition of having their politicians pontificate about how other people should spend their own money is alive and well in 2008. Brilliant choice there, Senator Obama. Perfect encapsulation of your message of change.
