FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Annnnnd the WaPo does its best to spin away its own words on Raines.

Friday is Funday, it seems!

Alas, yes, they had to admit that they said what they quoted, and that they got it from Raines himself. (Via Hot Air Headlines

It’s hard to figure out which is the funniest bit: the fact that they tried giving McCain two Pinocchio noses for the knavish tactic of directly quoting them, the “we’ve sent out emails to the relevant people” (read: “we’re going to stall until this goes away”) bit, the fact that all of this got driven by an online ad – or that (according to comments) the first draft of this post referred to Howell Raines, who was of course the former editor of the NYT.

Heck of a Freudian slip there, is all I’m saying.

WaPo has done nothing lately but run front-page Obama cheerleader advocacy pap. And they are caught with their pants down (again).

To bad there’s not another national secret to give away, to take attention away from your their lying and cheating.

The fact checker for the WaPo (Michael Dobbs) places the article in question in his paper’s “Style” section. The Post’s website clearly shows it to be in the “Metro Business” section.

    Unreal.

Remember how Romney was all worked up about McCain lying about something prior to FL? Can’t remember what but, seems Romney was right. Did John care? No.

You think he’s gonna let a bunch of two-bit, half-wit, thumb-sucking hacks push him around?

Does calling someone a liar in politics work? No. People expect our politicians to lie. They can figure out the truth on their own. They can see the ads–you can’t just say it’s lie, words are empty and worthless–you have to show how it is a lie; and pull-quotes prove nothing. John knows that. Calling someone a liar–even if you are right–is whining, not winning.

Yeah, I think we got the best guy for this fight.

“You f…ed up – you trusted us!”

Just like Time is now saying, “Hey! We’re just as much in the bag for Obama as Newsweek is!” it seems that the Post is saying, “Hey! We’re just as much in the bag for Obama as the New York Times is!”
