It would seem that this entire “not campaigning…”

"...until the Jewish holidays are over" thing for Clinton...

is not entirely true. Clinton won’t campaign for Obama until then.

Campaigning for McCain, though, is just fine:

Extra points for reminding people who wanted more debates in the first place, Bill.

at considerable political risk both he and his wife did many things for blacks and other minorities in this country.

He was very conscious of diversity and that justice be meted out equally and fairly.

Then he was called a racist by the biggest racist to ever run for President in the history of this country.

I retired honorably after 23 years in the Army and 14 of those years in the infantry. If someone ever said I was a coward or did not do my duty I would feel exactly as President Clinton does.

I did not vote for him and I campaigned against him. He was the President and I respected him as I did any man who rose to that office.

I will never respect Barack Obama. As far as I am concerned he is nothing but a black George Wallace and Jeremiah Wright is his Bull Connor.

The more I think about it, the better delaying the first debate sounds. Assuming there is no bailout passed by then, the last thing I want to see is the leaders of the two parties publicly arguing over a specific point in the legislation. This could solidify positions on both sides and prevent any compromise from getting through.

McCain is doing the right thing. I’m just worried it might already be too late.

I think what Bill said was very accurate. He will not campaign for Obama until after the Jewish Holidays.

This means he will be free to campaign for Obama when he begins running for re-election in the Senate in 2010, in the mid-terms.

I mean, it took Obama nearly two and a half years to build up steam for the Presidency, he needs to get cooking on his Senate seat.

Unfortunately, Ramadan ends on Sept 29th this year – that would have eaten up a whole lunar month, not just 10 days.

Then again, Sukkot is just around the corner, starting on the eve of Oct 13th, with the series of related holidays running through the 22nd, so if Bill is serious about this Jewish holiday observance bit…
