Either Nancy Pelosi knew that the vote was going to fail yesterday, or she didn’t. If she didn’t know, then the failure of passage can directly laid at her uncritical willingness to permit her own caucus to slide on an unpopular vote, while doing less than nothing to bring in equally-concerned Republicans - which could be seen as another way of calling her a blithering incompetent fool. If she did know, then she lied, to all of us, and is currently risking the health of the American economic system for partisan political gain. Which might convince one to refer to her as, hmm, what’s the word?
Oh, yes. “Unpatriotic.”

We need him back

Wow
DrOldSchool Tuesday, September 30th at 12:34AM EDT (link)this is unbelievable. This needs to be addressed by the alternative media as much as possible.
“Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”

Rove only stating the obvious.
Rod_Patrick Tuesday, September 30th at 12:59AM EDT (link)Pelosi’s bipartisanship is not really bipartisan…it’s a hideous partisanship.
Sadly, MSM are blind to see this.
But we have THE MAJORITY! I can do ANYTHING I want!!!

Me thinks there might be leadership changes after the election…if not sooner. Kind of like Lane Kiffin across the bay. Might have a job tomorrow, might not.
Well, they both appear to have mastered snatching defeat from the jaws of victory haven’t they?
“Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any farther obedience, and are left to the common refuge which God hath provided for all men against force and violence.”
John Locke
Some more names for the story...
DrOldSchool Tuesday, September 30th at 1:58AM EDT (link)This is sticking in my craw, wish I saw it earlier rather than lose sleep about it.
But anyway, I wondered how some Democrats in tight races voted on this bill. I cruised over to RCP’s House Polls page and just looked at the first page of most recent polls. A few names to add…
Baron Hill IN-9 (Poll on 9/12 had him +11 over Mike Sodrel)
John Yarmuth KY-3 is one of the freshmen Rove refers to (9/8 poll had him +8 over Anne Northup)
Chris Carney PA-10 is another Freshman (8/27 poll has him +4 over Chris Hackett)
If Pelosi thinks these people are vulnerable enough not to whip their vote on this key measure, then their opponents deserve extra support from us to see that their defeat occurs!
If there’s another source with more, and reliable polls, lets see some more names?!? I’d look but I’m punting at 3 AM.

Just to be clear...
DrOldSchool Tuesday, September 30th at 2:09AM EDT (link)I don’t know how to edit my post, but just to be clear, I’m saying we should go after them because they were considered vulnerable enough by Pelosi to vote against her, despite the bipartisan spirit, (most) Democratic leadership support, etc. Not because of what they voted. All 3 listed there voted No on the bailout.

Strelnikov Tuesday, September 30th at 6:59AM EDT (link)What do you think - seriously - is the level of intelligence of most politicians?
Very average, I would say, given the indications, even if a good number did make it through law school, which is no indication of great intelligence, but rather persistence, as several mediocre former students of mine have made it through.
However, they want you to believe that what they do is so complex that the typical American cannot do without them. Their main talent is an ability to manipulate language, which with little effort can be deciphered.
In fact, if D.C. closed down instead of Wall Street, we would all be better off!
Imagine: 3 trillion dollars of taxes back in our pockets! Okay, so we might spend a few bucks for guys in pick-up trucks to protect us against invasion.
2.5 trillion!
