FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

All right, Senator McCain: Let’s talk turkey.

First off, good job defending your supporters.

(Via Jake Tapper)

I’m getting damn tired of watching people too scared to push back on firebombs in the night from their own rail on and on about random shouters in crowds, too. When they’re not busy demonstrating that everything that they ever said about feminism (NSFW!) was a lie, of course. So I’m glad to hear that you find it outrageous.

Now here’s the thing. The Democrats won’t stop. Ever. They don’t want to, and after eight years of unremitting screaming about the President and the GOP it’s not entirely certain that they even know how to stop. It doesn’t matter what you say, or what you do: the Democrats don’t care. They hate us, they fear us, end of story, and have a nice day.

So you remember that, on Wednesday.

Now, I understand how the first and second debates had to go down, and I’m not going to carp at you about either. But you will take it to Obama in two days. You will take it to him, and when you do, you will not waste valuable debate time telling Obama how much you respect him before you remind everyone that he’s a liar. Just cut to the good stuff: they’re going to call you and us names any which way anyway.

I actually think that you know this already, and that you know that a bunch of people don’t think that you’re ready to get up close and personal on this fight. And I even actually think that you’re ready to play. But as a good Republican it behooves me to make sure that we’re all on the same page.

Moe Lane

PS: This is a personal request. MAKE THAT MAN APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT HIS SUPPORTERS HAVE SAID, AND TRIED TO DO, TO OUR VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. Do that – or even make him flinch from the shame – and the base will follow you anywhere that you might wish to go.

He can do it by simply in his opening remarks tell everyone that he is deeply troubled over this. He can say that he has stood up for Obama, but as of yet he has not heard Obama do the same thing and would like to give him a chance now to address what Lewis said.

Maybe when obama in that moment says he can’t speak for Lewis and has nothing more to add, McCain will final get it that there is no mutual exchange of respect.

McCain has a code of honor that I do not see in Obama and its a shame that he will use McCain’s honor and sense of fairness against him.

I’ve had enough of the biased media.

We need start doing something about it.

First Step: Boycott CNN for this week’s debate.

    Pass it along.

It seems as if the far right has joined forces in a desperate attempt to smear Obama in any way they can. McCain and his tub-thumpers, including RedState and Fox, are like drowning people frantically clutching at straws, while blowing pitiful smoke and shrieking stridently. It’s a disgusting sight.

McCain comes over as a grumpy old man, who is demanding to be President. The truth is that being a POW in VietNam does not qualify him to assume that position. Neither does being a pilot (Bush?), being married to a wealthy woman, being in Congress for 25+ years (what DID he achieve there), being in favor of the war in Iraq, etc. Neither does his renowned bad temper, his Cold War mentality, his knee-jerk reaction to attack without thinking, and his well-reported behavior of holding grudges. Neither does his his patently cynical choice of Palin as his VP, with the intent of attracting Clinton’s supporters, which merely illustrates his demeaning assesment of women as non-thinkers and without substance; women who will be bought out by trinkets.

His judgement has NOT been sound.

As for Palin, who is being paraded around by McCain like a trophy, she is proving to be an empty vessel, devoid of substance. She may also be following in the footsteps of Stevens of Alaska – with the latest story being that her house was built for her, free of cost, by one or more of the contractors to whom she gave the Wasilla sports center contract; one of whom is also reported as sponsoring Palin’s husband in his snomobile races.

All I can do is shake my head and sit this one out, because I refuse to support McCain.

How do you answer someone who is so wrong on so many things?

DKos must be increasing their dosage of kool aid nowadays.

To think that once, John McCain was the Democrats’ favorite Republican.

were reason for banning, this guy would be ejected. That first paragraph is painful…

you are no conservative and you confuse conscience with madness and dishonesty.

I know full well the tactic of low life liberal dimocrats who go into web sites and call talk radio passing themselves off as conservatives and Republicans.

Who or what you are is as insignificant as you the person might be. When you have to lie to support your candidate, the One, then you have a tiny and terrible excuse for a candidate.

ConCon, it looks like you’re the one making this assessment about women. Why don’t you shake this one out and sit on your head, or whatever your assesment.
