FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

The Inevitable SNL Biden/Murtha Skit Post.

"By the Beard of Jupiter, gird your loins!"

That was what made me decide to front this SNL skit involving Murtha/Biden (via AoSHQ). It’s by no means a game-changer – more of a admission of the damage that these two have already done for their candidate – but it’s funny, which is enough for a lazy Sunday morning.

Now let’s just see if it loads…

UPDATE from Soren: Go help Bill Russell retire Jack Murtha.

“could that be one of the Palin kids?” was too funny even thrown in there. Guess this is the “Fairness Doctrine” skit – for every 50 anti-Republican skits they’ll do 1 (and they don’t even need to make it up or stretch the truth to make funny) Democrat skit, to them that is “Fairness.” NOT surprising they didn’t get the “spread the wealth” in there at all, even though Obama said it they could’ve put those words in Biden’s mouth.

back in the day when it was pretty consistently funny. Now I watch it only every four years just for this kind of skit. I couldn’t stop laughing at those two idiots. Kudos to SNL for at least being “fair and balanced” in their mockery.

… I could not stop laughing, my wife said that was nice to see my laughing. I have not had a lot to laugh at the last two months.

    Remember this revealing statement:

Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

    at the “Deliverance” reference.

Maybe this helps offset the Thu night gig where they made fun of Bush, McCain, and Palin without a word about Obama or Biden. They had a little shot at Bill Clinton mixed in and a neutral mention of Hillary as I recall.

It’s nice to see that once in a blue moon they realize that there is humor to be found among the Democrats as well. I’m still waiting for someone (SNL, Leno, Letterman, etc.) to dare to poke fun AT Barack Obama. The sketches I’ve seen so far poke fun at others around him (the Media, Biden, Hillary, Bill, etc.) and their reaction to or interaction with him, but never AT him.

Surely he has done or said something that they could mock or mimic or denigrate as they regularly do every word and action of John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Who’s going to be first? And what will their punishment be?

It seems like everyone is afraid to make any joke about Obama for fear of being branded a racist.

I’ve yet to see one real skit where they mock Obama. The late night comedians also never touch him.

It seems only white politicians are allowed to be made fun of. SNL and the late night comics did a good job lampooning Clinton during his time in office. I wonder if Obama wins will he get the kid-glove treatment his entire Presidency.

treatment, then based on recent events in his dealing with the media, heads will roll. Metaphorically speaking.
