Virginia Obama Supporters mishear it as “Spray ‘em with Mace.”

...so they did.

No, really. Via Drudge:

Campaign workers attacked

Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after an altercation led to five Republican campaign workers being sprayed with Mace at their headquarters in Galax.

Galax Police Chief Rick Clark said officers were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to the Galax Republican headquarters on East Grayson Street when a caller reported someone had sprayed office workers with Mace.

Responding officers arrested Daniel Cason Meinecke, 29, and Cara Annis Hindman, 26, both of Galax.

Names are being published because I don’t like people who spray senior citizens with caustic chemicals. Call it a quirk.

For those in a hurry, let me sum up the events: Obama supporters walk in and ask a nonsensical question about available Obama signs: when corrected, begin spouting off a conspiracy theory about GOP stealing said signs; when laughed at, proceed to start shouting obscenities; when asked to moderate their language and respect propriety, not to mention private property, refused; and when pushed out, proceeded to spray caustic chemicals on not only the individuals doing the pushing, but the elderly campaign workers inside.

In other words, nothing really surprising.

Typical heartless conservative. Don’t you understand that these young people were VICTIMS, and they were only acting out of frustration and rage? They were only trying to bring about lasting change (or was that hope?)

Besides, those old people probably made more than $250,000, er, $200,000, no um $150,000 a year, so they SHOULD be punished.

Are these people insane? They attacked campaign workers in a Southern battleground state? Female and older campaign workers? Used foul language to them and then applied noxious chemicals?

I’ve had the occasion to live and work in the South. This kind of stuff doesn’t fly down there and will likely offend voters. Would it sway some voters to be against the team whose supporters perpetrated it? Maybe, maybe not, but why would they want to chance it?

Will not be intimidated by the young whippersnappers.

My McCain/Palin sign sits in my front yard in a very blue California.

I proudly drive around with my McCain/Palin sticker on my car. This is the greatest Country on Earth and my family has helped protect it since the beginning of the Republic.

in the desk drawer at our HQ to ward off hysterical Democrats. Just in case…

Why are they whining about stealing signs? I don’t know any Republican around our area that would touch an Obama sign, but McCain signs have been disappearing in large numbers (even while people are at church…that’s why we figure it must be dems stealing them.)

I think they accuse us of stealing because they think everyone thinks the same way they do.

pinball machines. Their first clue should have been when the Galaxians came spiraling in from across the parking lot. Time for tasers.

I was living in TX when Ann Richards was running against Clayton Lonetree (I THINK that was his last name). You might remember him from his comment that “Rape is like the weather. You can’t do anything about it, so you might as well lay back and enjoy it”.

Beleive it or not, that comment didn’t change his poll numbers much at all. What REALLY killed him was a charity event two weeks later that he and Anne were accidentally booked at the same time. She walked up to him and offered his hand, and he turned his back on her. His poll numbers dropped from that day forward and he never recovered.

please tell us next that you are a gun owner, so I can cut and paste your response into an email to both of my CA resident whipper-snapper brothers (both voting for McCain Palin) who are currently depressed and whiney. I’m trying not to be too hard on them, since they seem to be vigilantly trying to peer out from a blue-haze, but stamina waning. [1 week to go! Get out the vote!] –Bravo, bravo s-mom!
