FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Coal States: Vote McCain, or against your economic interests. Your call.

I mean, really, what's with that lack of a transcript?

Via Constant Reader Pentagon16 we see this video and Hot Air post about Obama, coal plants, and how the former will smother the creation of the latter if he ever gets the chance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdi4onAQBWQ

If you’re working on GOTV for Colorado or Pennsylvania, by all means: pass that along to people. Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia, too – just to be on the safe side.

Like Ed Morrissey, I’d like to see the complete transcript on this one – odd that it’s not readily available – but that’s all right, really. Live by the avoidance of transparency, die by the avoidance of transparency. The real issue is this: 49% of our domestic energy production comes from coal. There’s a lot of economic wealth tied up in it, and our total energy consumption goes up every year (although Obama wants to actually cut our electrical demand by 15% by 2020, presumably because… actually, I have no freaking clue why). There is currently no such thing as “clean coal,” by the way – at least, not as the environmental lobbyist industry defines the term – so let’s not pretend that when Obama is talking about supporting “clean coal” that he’s talking about immediately replacing our current icky coal plants with some Magical Pretty Space Unicorn ones. The ones we’ve got are the ones we’re going to have for most of the rest of my life.

Put it another way: Obama’s lying to somebody. The question is, who? San Francisco liberals, or all those middle/working class voters living beyond the former’s Pale?

Oh, look it up, already.

I mean, we gotta make sure they aren’t envious of us, right?

You can bet this will be part of my GOTV effort in Colorado today. We’re already starting to hurt for jobs here, and this will make a huge impact.

We already know Salazar wants $10/gal. gasoline, and Udall will happily join him.

    Europe isn’t monolithic on energy.

France gets it right on energy – and note that McCain wants us to go down the path of France. They get electricity from nuclear, and have made as much of their consumption electrical, one of the biggies is electrifying rail.

Germany and Belgium talk the talk about displacing coal and nuclear and going green, but are at the same time building more coal plants.

The other western Europe countries are putting in a bunch of “green” sources, but really are just buying electricity from France, Belgium and Germany.

Eastern Europe has it together through.

Wow……the 2001 audio, the Khalidi dinner, and now this. What the heck else is out there that the MSM has been hiding on Obama?
Ive’ gone past the fact of this man being unqualified for office; this man is beginning to scare the hell out of me.
I say again, why is the media covering for this man and what else is out there?

Though McCain is 9 points ahead here, I know that Eastern Kentuckians (where most coal-mining takes place) will not appreciate their own jobs getting cut.

to everyone that happens to live in a cold weather winter state. This will not only affect coal producing states, but individual communities that use coal fired electrical plants.

…Hmmmm vote for Obama – lose my job, pay higher taxes and freeze to death!!!

3 strikes and you are out!!!

Vote for McCain – get a raise, pay less taxes and enjoy a cozy
winter in the knowledge that you did the right thing!!

Pushing a Progressive (marxist socialist) into the Presidency is a personal challenge for the far left, including the media. Remember, they study how best to use and not use words to convey their message.

We’ve discussed to we’re blue, er… RedState, in the Face how so many people cannot answer the basic Question:

“WHAT DOES BARACK OBAMA STAND FOR?”

And for the few who come up with an answer as to what it is they THINK it is that Obambam believes, they cannot point to anything that confirms it. Not a vote, not a stance, barely even the vague notion of a campaign speech/promise. Yet we point to Facts about votes, contradictions in his positions, etc… and it just rolls off.

THINKING IS TOO HARD FOR THEM! Having to use Reason and Sense, they don’t have the time to be bothered. They just want to FEEL GOOD about ObamaBinBiden will do it all for them, they can just sit home and watch TV (Network, PBS, or CNN/MSNBC no doubt) ignorantly Blissful to the REAL WORLD and the consequences of their electing Liberals over and over again.

We know Obamanuts will delude themselves again to projecting what they “HOPE” the candidate to be, rather than what the candidate is, and vote for him anyway… When he rules like Chavez, they’ll remember and copy another Obama quote – “He is not the person that I remember.” Shame some people can be so stupid as to fool themselves so easily.
