SNL Brings Teh Funny to Olbermann.

It's the camera angles that did it for me.

The McCain skits were both good – I admit to some disappointment that Senator Obama never followed either his or Governor Palin’s lead, but only some; he’s not the type to be comfortable with being made fun of – but the Olbermann one had me rolling.

Note to his fans: the audience is shrieking with laughter because Olbermann really does sound like this all the time.

for The One as he is against reality, decency, history, rationality, civility regarding anything Conservative.
Now he will not only be rude in trying to tear down things he does not like.
His belicose mud puddle deep analysis will be used to promote The One’s ‘hope and change’.
If The One does finish buying this election on Tuesday.
And that is still a big if.

Absolutely one of the funniest skits ever on SNL. Someone like Ben Affleck doing Olbermann added even more hilarity. I only wish they could have gotten a Maddow spoof in there as well.

Watch this and spread it EVERYWHERE!

……..That NBC will do that to one of their own?

I haven’t watched SNL in literally decades, but that was really funny.

It’s a good bet Mr. Olbermann will want to have (or already has had) a chat with the people who I can seem him deeming as “the perpetrators”.

    Cheers !

Were a total riot. One of the best openers they’ve had in years.

    That clip was AWESOME!!!
If any of you live in a coal producing state, or have friends or family that do, check out this video of Obama describing how he plans to Bankrupt coal, and raise our electrical prices to unheard of levels!

Is this guy intentionally TRYING to put us into a Depression? It makes me sick to my stomach….

    And I happen to agree.

…and even if he was just smiling as the fox gnaws it’s a point in the man’s favor.

and they have had some really good stuff for the election this year.

Could it be that the race for POTUS 08 is what brings SNL back from the suckage?

  • izoneguy

After the McCain skit on update I could no longer stand watching Ben Affected. He needs to stay in Hollyload
and it was a disgrace that he was the host on the same show with McCain. They should have had Patricia Heaton or John Voight as host.

Understand that last month NBC News itself was complaining about how strongly far-left MSNBC has become. Also, there was a meeting in Hollywood last week about the future of MSNBC. I wouldn’t be too surprised if (conveniently) after the election, there is an effort made to push Matthews and Olbermann out.

I really think there’s a chance of that.

was the last bit by Starbucks. I enjoyed the satirical interlude but Olberman needs castrating taken to a higher level for the disservice he’s given this nation for the past years…

he should have stayed on ESPN

Except for maybe Dazed and Confused, but he nailed Obie, even brought a touch of Richard III to it.

Gigli and Sum of All Fears.

Easily his best work since Boiler Room.

Except his interviewees need to agree with him more. His interviewees always nod and agree to everything he says.

His ratings will likely protect him.

There seems to be a push in MSNBC almost to create a left leaning version of Fox News. I think their selection of new hosts (Maddow) reflects that. I also think that they will argue that from a ratings POV it seems to be working since they command higher primetime ratings then the other cable news networks.

How did SNL get the rights to play a clip from Olberman’s show? Maybe because they’re both owned by GE?

Also, Olberman looked a little different somehow. Younger maybe, and he seemed unusually calm and moderate.

    It’s a mystery.

McCain had me laughing so hard, it brought tears to my eyes. Watching SNL to see Palin and McCain brings back memories of watching SNL every week in my youth for laughs.

Olberman and Biden live in their own world. I have watched some YouTubes of his rants, the man may need meds for delusional episodes. Of course, it could just be an act, I often rant off the edge of the reality merely to see what kind of counter arguement is brought up for debate.

If I were the old Olbermann, I would hate SNL kit.

    Why?

Nothing in the script and the actors’ faces is “untrue”. They are in fact the exact Olbermann thing. In short, the whole skit is not just a parody but a “nonfiction” attack against Olbermann.

Olbermann must be furious…. which is the only “laughable” thing to me.

  • ZootSuit

    Great, funny, absolutely hilarious.

But the “Weekend Update” skit made me … skittish. It made me think of McCain as a loser, “discussing” how he would come back against the Obama juggernaut.
