A *very* quick look at the Keeping Hope On Life Support crowd.

Nothing personal, but it *is* Thanksgiving.

I’m sort of sneaking this one in.

Anyway, while you’re waiting for the turkey to finish basting check out this Politico article about the Great Netroot Betrayal over Iraq. The title says it all: “Doves keep the faith as Obama team tilts right”. This should be a fun few months, no?

Lots of good River-in-Egypt moments, but this was especially good:

Still, President Obama sounds a lot better than President Bush to a peace movement whose members have spent the last seven years in a posted of principled, if often powerless, opposition—and who now have to find a new point of orientation.

Because What will be much more interesting will be seeing the new point of orientation for the members of the peace movement who are unhinged maniacs with no historical sense, and even less of a moral one. For one thing, they outnumber the principled members by about nine to one.

Happy Thanksgiving.

a real opportunity to see if it peace they truly seek or some other agenda.

It is not peace

The Libs thrive on turmoil and opposing everthing conservative. They will let the O do anything he chooses to do.

Bush warned Obama and Hillary back during the primaries not to go too far over the cliff.

Rush has said for months that the “dirty little secret” is that whom ever got elected there would not be an immediate withdrawal from Iraq.

This will indeed be fun to watch.

Something about those national security reports your fearless leader gets every day brings him back to reality. I hate to be the one that breaks this to you but on inauguration day, there are no more catcalls from the cheap seats. President-elect Obama becomes Commander-in-Chief of the ARMED forces of the United States and hopefully their biggest cheerleader.

The Pacifist Maybe

Haven’t paid alot of attention to the news today but, I understand Obama surely must have talked to Condelezza Rice according to news reports. I know you only have one president at a time. Since Obama is going to take the role in about 54 days, I would think that he would have come out with some kind of statement regarding the Mumbai situation. He surely could have let all us fools know what strong/weak position he will take against terriorists. His silence speaks volumes to me. Preliminary reports are saying that a not well known pock-e-stahn group is responsible. Didn’t The Transcendant One say at one time that he would bomb pock-e-stahn, a nuclear country? I am really confused as to who this guy really is. Will he be a pacifist or a warrior given his cabinet picks?

I think that when you pander to so many diverse groups, you are sure to piss off more than a few.

The MSM cheerleaders certainly didn’t criticize Dear Leader before the election. But they and the progressives will soon be back to their old ways of destroying whoever is in power and opposing anything they advocate just on their contrarian idealogy. It will be mildly amusing as they eat one of their own who finds that once in power, you need to base decisions on reality and not on idealogy.

Sounds like we're headed back to Clintonian Foreign Policy

I would prefer that Obama stick to the peace agenda. This moderated half-arse foreign policy is exactly what portrayed weakness to the world, which is exactly what allowed us to come under attack. At least a full peace approach would be novel and untried, and hence have some potential. Lobbing Tomahawks at dusty basecamps and sending troops to Bosnia but keeping them on basecamps with helmets and flak vests is sucky.

With a real Republican at the helm peace would come through superior firepower.

since it was the MSM who picked BHO to be our Fearless Leader, I really don’t forsee their saying, or doing, anything to “rock the boat” as far as the “one” is concerned. They will prop his every decision and mandate, they will be carrying the water for his entire administration. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t LOVE to be proven wrong, and see the MSM tear down this empty-suited parvenu.

You're Right

The Legacy Media will go down with the ship on Obama, and will never criticize him. (Individual reporters might, but institutions won’t.)

The nutroots are… another matter. They’ll be calling for Obama’s head within about six months, unless he repeals the 2nd Amendment and bans private property before then.
