It probably will be a surprise, though. This list is going to be completely unacceptable to their up-until-quite-recently allies:
Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2008
Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY)
Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT)
Obama Advisor Valerie Jarrett (D-IL)
Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA)
President-Elect Barack Obama (D-IL)
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)
Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY)
Former Rep. Rick Renzi (R-AZ)
Former Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK)
Rep. Don Young (R-AK)DISHONORABLE MENTIONS
Former Senator John Edwards (D-NC)
Former Rep. William “Dollar Bill” Jefferson (D-LA)
There are far too many Democrats on that list for the netroots’ liking, and the comments on them are far too disapproving - which is to say, there are Democrats on that list, and the group’s commentary is disapproving. Surely Judicial Watch understands that their only purpose in life is to get Democrats elected?
Well, that’s the bargain that the netroots made - trade their principles for the privilege of giving the Democratic Party money - so why should anybody else get a better deal?
Moe Lane
PS: Note that half the Republicans on that list are former legislators. That’s because we throw our crooks out when they get their hands caught in the cookie jar. The Democrats? They give their crooks a cookie jar with a bigger opening.
PPS: Really, read Judicial Watch’s commentary. It’s quite good. And notice the utter lack of executive branch shenanigans on that list. Well, so far.

This is the point I've made to my Dem friends all along
George Claghorn Thursday, January 1st at 9:59AM EST (link)…who claim that Republicans are across-the-board corrupt.
No Republican takes Ted Stevens seriously anymore (I hate to rely on the No Common Scotsman theory, but it’s true. ) Stevens was shown the door after he was discovered.
Bill Clinton’s was the queen mother of all political scandals. And he’s now hailed as the de facto leader of the Democratic party.
“Victory comes, though we know not when. We must be happy warriors until the end.
For those of you who struggle with what goes on, who see retreat and capitulation, and who feel like not just your political opponents, but those who hold dear all those things you hold as blasphemous — be cheerful. Be happy. Victory is already yours.
You must just have the courage to not get discouraged and have the will to fight on.” – Erick Erickson at RightOnline
still shows anti-R bias
LJ "Beaglescout" Miller Thursday, January 1st at 2:40PM EST (link)Notice how the two former R’s on the list are still in the top ten, while the two former D’s on the list, including a vp and presidential candidate, are in the dishonorable mentions. Also as you pointed out, Bill Clinton has gotten off scott free, so far, for selling secrets to China, accepting Chinese campaign money, and the whole presidential pardons thing.
“Each of us has a natural right, from God, to defend his person, his liberty, and his property.”
I wonder if they'll remove Ted Stevens from that list
Raven Thursday, January 1st at 12:51PM EST (link)After he’s found innocent on his appeal and all his accusers go to jail for either accepting bribes (for the purpose of finding him guilty) or by bribing people, including government officials (in order to have him found guilty).
“Unlike cruel liberty that requires you to stand and take responsibility for your choices, kind tyranny requires only that you kneel and surrender your choices.”
Of the four Rs on the list...
itrytobenice Thursday, January 1st at 2:05PM EST (link)I would defend none of them. That’s another difference between Rs and Ds. They love their thieves and pols. We love our Coburns and Flakes.
The problem with America is stupidity. I’m not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don’t we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
