Obama *still* not interfering with Israel.

It\'s starting to worry some people.

People like Simon Tisdall of the Guardian, who probably speaks for all those Leftists out there who contributed time and money in the hope that America’s Israel policy would change. I want to point out a specific sentence:

The Al-Jazeera satellite television station recently broadcast footage of Obama on holiday in Hawaii, wearing shorts and playing golf, juxtaposed with scenes of bloodshed and mayhem in Gaza.

…mostly to note that in my personal experience Hawaiian vacations can be very distracting; I certainly found it so, last year. So I recommend that everybody angry about the fact that the President-elect isn’t choosing to interfere with Israel’s self-defense right now should themselves visit Hawaii, just so that they’ll understand the situation…

Oh. Right. Most of the people who are angry about this refusal-to-interfere probably spent their vacation money – and the rest of their discretionary (and not-so-discretionary) income – on the Obama Presidential campaign, instead.

He’s never been good at taking stands one way or the other, so if he tries to make a statement on Israel’s operation in Gaza, he’ll surely confuse everyone (including himself). Silence is his best option for this issue. It makes Obama implicitly pro-Israel, which is in accord with American popular feeling, but without definitely committing him. The perfect Obama solution.

Let’s hope he stays silent on many, many issues. No sense giving the leftists that hope & change they paid for now.

Israel & Hamas will be forced to kiss and make up

After all, we know he will comment on other topics. Once again we have Obama letting other people carry the water for him so he can stay “above the fray”. It should be entertaining to see The Citizen of the World denounced by all the people in the world who bought into his HopeChange.

The media will cover for him.

come back in one month once it has digested some people from the campaign.

President at other times, like stimulus packages and union bennies. Only when people are dying does he become stifled. Good quality in a leader, that.

48 are already “very worried” with the idea of “President Obama” especially with regards to foreign policy issues and armed conflicts.

If you look up any news articles from the campaign (example), you’ll see that Obama has always tried to play the Middle East both ways – just like everything else.

    • “We need to protect Israel but stop Palestinian suffering.”
    • “If we could just get rid of all the nasty cynicism, then we could all hold hands and sing Kumbaya.”
    • “Wait – is this speech for AIPAC or some other audience?”
    • etc.

as “flip-flopping” implies that you take only one position at a time.

No, the phrase to describe what Obama does is “talking out of both sides of your mouth”. And he’s very good at not laughing at his audience while he’s doing it.

I snuck into the Illinois Senate one night and added the letters I and D to Barack’s “PRESENT” button.

Thereafter, when called upon to vote, Obama interpreted his choices
as “Yea”, “Nea”, and (vote for me for) “PRESidENT”

Knowing Obama, which one would you expect him to hit???
