I know most Senate actions are SLOW, but this time I don’t think it will take long to follow through. Even the Democrats don’t like Blago and none of them want to be seen as defending him.

I suspect Rep. Patterson will have to answer for supporting Blago in the next election. Too bad it’s 2 years away…..

Impeachment doesn’t really excite me; it’s the second phase determining removal from office that’s noteworthy. There’s always the possibility that it could end up like Clinton’s impeachment. Granted, that would be a serious indictment of Illinois politics, but still…

How many governors (and others) in IL politics have been dirty as pigs? Virtually all of them. How many have been impeached or removed other than by conviction? None. This one was getting his funk on Big O, so he had to go.

IL is a cesspool. Or at least there is so much manure in Chicago and Springfield to stink up the whole state.

Yanno, if I were Blago, I wouldn’t resign either.

Arrested isn’t indicted.

Indicted isn’t convicted.

If this guy really is The Wizard of Oz, with favors and chits out with everyone, it seems no one is paying up. So why not dig in his heels and make all the ungrateful sum******es as uncomfy as possible as long as possible?

And who knows — maybe they’ll fail to convict him. The longer it drags on, the more the evidence degrades.

Burris seems to be in a bit of hot water also- He donated 15 grand to Blago’s campaign, in exchange got 300 grand to find some minority contractors to work on the infrastructure project.

And, if he’s going down, he’s trying to take Emmanuel with him with his statement on the presser a little bit ago. Rhambo gave him some kind of advice on pharmasecutical purchases, but he made sure he got his name out there.

However, accordiing to the ruling of the IL Supremes, there is another way to get that state seal on the guv’s appointment, just to make Harry happy.

And we all want Harry happy, yes?

So, we can all request a copy of the appointment from the IL SecState and he must provide it. We can then forward all those copies, with the state seal, to Harry.

The MSM would have you believe that Blogo is impeached for only selling the anointed one’s seat, while that seems to be just a piece of the laundry list.

He fired a warning shot in his press conference today mentioning Rahm Emmanuel by name. There are many names to come out in a public proceeding. This process is much harder to do behind closed doors than the Clinton joke trial, due to Illinois rules.

Personally I abhor Blogos morals and politics, but he may have a future in entertainment, I am enjoying watching him make the snakes in the pit squirm.
