Obama gives Biden the Stimulus.

Well, at least it isn't foreign policy.

(Via Hot Air Headlines) Why, what could possibly go wrong?

Obama Taps Biden to Oversee Stimulus Package Implementation

President Obama has turned to his own vice president to oversee implementation of the $787 billion economic stimulus package, part of which will be available this week for state Medicaid programs.

Obama announced his decision before the National Governors Association in Washington on Monday, saying Vice President Joe Biden will help ensure the distribution of the money is not just swift, “but also efficient and effective.”

“The fact that I’m asking my vice president to personally lead this effort shows how important it is for our country and future to get this right,” he said.

Well, that, or it shows how important it is for your administration and your future to make sure that what is not going to be a universally beloved program six months from now – to put it mildly – is publicly linked with chains of unbreakable steel to, well, Joe Biden. However, I don’t think that you’ve made it clear enough that you don’t want to be tied to this sucker. May I suggest a moat filled with burning gasoline and maybe some apotropaic symbols burned into the walls?

Every time the Keystone Cops in the WH open their mouths, the market tanks. Dow is down another 2% so far today.

Geez. Peter Principle well at work in Washington – a whole city full of folks who have risen to their respective levels of incompetence. From the POTUS on down.

Surely there has been some sort of mistake here. This is clearly a radical expansion of the powers of the vice president. Surely all those who were so critical of President Bush and Vice President Cheney will want to be among the first to speak out against this outrageous overstepping of constitutional authority.

At least, it was considered outrageous when Vice President Cheney took on roles beyond what his predecessors had. Surely there will not be a double standard on this issue, with the usual suspects running interference and giving President Obama a free pass on this after they had been so critical of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

I mean, c’mon…there’s no way he can screw this up. Right?

And a question. Will Vice President Biden be functioning under the authority of the executive branch, or under the authority of the legislative branch, were he is the President of the Senate?

    Just curious.

Could it be more transparent that he wants the blame when this fails to be laid upon Vice President Biden.

I mean, it won’t be intentional, but VP Biden just can’t help but tell us the true intent of the Administration. After all it is a big adjustment to be privy to information and not betray the trust of it after the previous decades of time in the Senate doing just that.

…without sending people to the wrong website, I don’t know if we can really expect accurate information dissemination here. :)

And, no, I don’t use the word lightly.

Every day my family and I have to watch our wealth getting destroyed by these arrogant SOBs. The least they could do would be to act like they are serious.

but I still suppose there will be an occasionally nugget of truth that comes out that was never meant to have seen the light of day.

It’s almost as funny as this afternoon’s “working groups” … guess who the very first bright, eager group leader was called upon by The One to report? John McCain.

    Yet.

(And look how well that one turned out.)

Become a greedy dishonest Democrat – mess up the economy – retire and write a book – do a movie deal and make millions. Then go on the lecture circuit and rail about why capitalism is evil.
