I’ve never seen a public castration accomplished with the written word.

The America we at RedState know offers the greater class mobility than any other major nation. Yes, a degree from an American Ivy conveys a certain amount of unearned opportunity to its graduates. But less so than elsewhere.

It should come as no surprise that the true agenda of the wealthy leftists is to keep themselves in the upper class by seeking to control the means to upward mobility. It should also come as no surprise when hypocrites such as Olbermann have two standards or sets of rules: one for themselves and one for the proletariat.

When we conservatives discover Olbermanns that can’t live up to their own self-serving, arbitrary rules, we have a duty to spotlight the hypocrisy. Furthermore, I see nothing wrong with indulging in a little schadenfreude.

That Olberman would denigrate my two degrees from state schools just confirms something I’ve known about him for a long, long time:

Olberman is an idiot.

(I’d add some accenting descriptors, but it says “Be respectful” below).

This kind of elitism is exactly what is wrong with the Democratic Party: “Everyone is equal, but we’re all Ivy Leaguers, so we should rule.”

I don’t suffer stupidity lightly. I wonder if Mr. Olberman would like to do a head-to-head match with me on “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?”

My brother who is as liberal as I am a conservative (he is a graduate of only Johns Hopkins B.A., and New York University J.D.) will not watch Olberman because he considers him to be a loud mouth jerk.

I a graduate of lowly Marshall University (B.A. and M.A.) can only nod my head and agree.

Ann’s column really struck a chord with me and I feel so cruel because of it.

Fact is, I went to my 3rd choice (small, but good college) because of the scholarship they offered me. Now looking at the state of the economy, I’d rather a bunch parsimonious leaders from the state schools than people who graduated with a designer label, an attitude of superiority, and a comfort with large debts.

And Olberman is a faker who wants to be part of that set. What a loser.

He, too, throws around his “Ivy League” credentials.

The man is a superb actor, because he allows no trace of education to interfere with this acting.

Communication majors (or Recreation Science) lineman at USC are NOT known for “throwing” the football. They might be better know for being able to bench press a small car instead. It would be fun to watch Keith go ballistic about this tonight but I promised myself to never watch anyone on the Mighty Small NoBody Cares network since this fall.

Going to second tier colleges in rural states is, by itself, a cause for derision? Really?

Is it too much trouble to focus on the words coming out of his mouth?

Ann Coulter is the snob here, not Olbermann. She is arguing that HER Cornell University diploma confers Ivy-League-education credentials on to her, while Keith Olbermann’s diploma does not.

There are seven undergraduate colleges at Cornell. She received a BA at the liberal arts college; he received a BS at the agriculture and life sciences college.

There is nothing in the history of the Ivy League that differentiates between the colleges at Cornell. However I’m sure Coulter, ever the elitist, convinced herself that because the ag college receives some state funding, it is not a TRUE Ivy League school, as was hers. This is a complete fabrication.
