Rep. McClintock interview with RedState.

\"Agitate, agitate, agitate.\"

As promised, here’s the Tom McClintock interview.

Link here, if that doesn’t work. As you can see, Rep. McClintock isn’t precisely shy about speaking his opinion, particularly when it comes to the religious aspect of global warming. I had originally written “essentially religious aspect” there, but when thinking about it McClintock was pretty unambiguous on that point, so neither should I be when describing him. If you don’t have time for the whole thing, the Congressman’s main theme was that it’s of primary importance that ordinary citizens get involved and stay involved in this issue.

We also have the video of the speech itself, which was a good deal more of this; Heartland is going to be putting much of the proceedings of the ICCC on the Web, so check it all out.

I have not had the opportunity to listen to Rep. McClintock’s message, but looking forward to doing so. The phrase “(essentiall) “religious aspect” of global warming perked my interest. One “mistake” I believe those who doubt the global warming/climate change chorus is that we sometimes fail to recognize that (particularly in California) climate change is not an aspect of religion (being good stewards of te earth), but in fact it IS a religion. To tell a global warming “alarmist” that global warming does not exist or accepting something less than their side of the “story” is akin to telling a Christian that God does not exist or that Jesus was not the son of God. Again, this is particularly the case in California where the religion of “Climate Change” has made tremendous steps towards becomiing the dominant religion.
Point is, we can debate economic, military, and social issues with those on various degrees on the political spectrum, but when it comes to “climate change”, it is important to understand that when you “doubt” the true believers, you are attacking their true religion. I say this not to discourage doubters or outright “non-believers” of “climate change” (I am one), but only to warn that you aren’t doubting their belief on taxes or the war in Iraq, you are directly disputing and attacking their highest calling.

This is all from those with lack of any real Faith, Beliefs, Morals, etc… (AP: More Americans say they have No religion) empty vacuous lives without meaning looking to latch onto something to pretend to care to again boost their self-worth (self-esteem)….

The Progressives molding of the Indoctrination Factories for decades is reaping exactly what they’ve been sowing….

is one of the best things to come out of California. He should’ve been Governor instead of AhNold, but it was a popularity contest.
    Watch this guy.

Which is often a good thing, and can be a great thing in a House member.

But I do have to wonder if he was suited to be Governor. Don’t get me wrong – I voted for him in that Recall. But I’m not surprised he lost, based on this reputation.

Anyway, he’s probably perfect where he is – hopefully he will quickly evolve into the bombthrowing backbencher that we’ve needed in the GOP since Gingrich was kicked up into the leadership of the House GOP (and it was all downhill from there!).
