Turns out the hockey mom is also a motorcycle maven.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin recently welcomed the crew from Orange County Choppers – whose custom motorcycle business is featured on TLC’s American Chopper – to Anchorage where show star Paul Teutul Sr. researched building a bike to honor Alaska’s 50-year anniversary of being a state.
“It means so much to the state of Alaska that these guys are building this bike that will honor statehood here,” Palin says in the episode, airing April 30 at 9 p.m.

*It’s a shame that I don’t have tons of cash; I’d love to see a demographic survey of the divorce rate among male Palin-haters. I suspect that there’s been an uptick. I further suspect that it’s going to get higher. You can’t just bottle that stuff up when you go home, after all.

**Not for any ideological reasons; it’s just that my wife doesn’t watch TV, and I was too cheap to pay the whole thing even when I was generating my own income. It’s surprisingly easy to do without.

Some of the 50th Anniversary stuff is Godawful expensive!

I was at Fred Meyer (West Coast big box) yesterday as saw a 50th Anniversary of Statehood commemorative Marlin 45-70. It has some nice engraving and gold inlay but I’m not sure it was enough to boost what is normally a $6-700 rifle to $1495 they’re asking for it. There’s a Reminton commemorative, don’t remember the model/caliber, that is fancier (gaudier?) that’s going for over $2500.
I guess the 50th Anniversary is a big deal, but I think I’ll limit myself to a button or something or maybe a belt buckle to match my 25th Anniversary one. I just ran across that 25th Anniversary one a couple of months ago and put a new belt on it; some things don’t fit like they did 25 years ago!

A lot of blue collar working class types can identify with her. There are a lot of conservative minded people who are learyof the Republican Party because they perceive it as elitist, corporate, and stuffy. She pierces that vail. She also inpsres the base andshe is an intrigue to women and families of people with disabilites both of whom ten to lean Left.
Has a trifecta of potential support. This appearence is huge. This is exactly what she needs to do. Govern, avoid the MSM and win the people by doing being herself and doing stuff like this.
