On Axelrod calling Carrie Prejean a dog.

Never blog angry.

Well, not quite true: never blog too angry. A little anger can help. Too much, though, and you end up wanting to pound on the wall; this pleases a certain demographic, and you may define ‘pleases’ any way that you like. So, now that I’ve calmed down – some – about Obama crony David Axelrod crassly equating Carrie Prejean with a dog:

When Axelrod was asked if he had weighed in on the Obama family’s dog choice, he answered, “I was only called in for the final three, and one was Miss California.”

…I’ll say this: after an event like the above I’d be embarrassed about me being on the same side of the same-sex marriage debate as Axelrod, except that there’s actually no evidence whatsoever that I am (I already know that I’m well to the left of his boss on this issue). As it is, I’d much prefer to have Carrie Prejean as my spokesperson than the people that have decided to publicly attack her; unlike them, she’s shown no indication that she personally hates her opponents.

I really should stop being surprised at this sort of thing, though. It’s not like it’s going to stop for the next 3.5 years.

    I need to quit thinking that. Once again someone in the O-ministration lowers the bar. I’ve been trying to remember if anyone in the Bush administration ever said anything like this about anyone. I haven’t yet, nor do I expect to. Typical lib crap, just sling mud, or poo as Amy said above, at anyone you disagree with.

    If they didn’t have personal attacks to fall back on, they wouldn’t have anything.

    I’m glad to know that the politics of personal destruction don’t apply anymore, seeing that Obama and his clan are the great uniters and all. However, just in case this was a personal attack, I think it’s time Obama throws Axelrod under the bus. He quite probably deserves it. Wonder if the feminist groups will be protesting him?

    The sniping at Prejean, Palin, Marsha Blackburn, & basically any attractive conservative woman, imho, is fueled by the sourest of grapes. The men know that they have no chance with such a woman, & because of their self-esteem issues they attack her. The women who do, are simply jealous.

    Shallowness is greatly on display; if she had come out glowingly for SSM, she would be the media darling…

    I saw one of their spokeswomyn on O’Reilly the other day and she said that they didn’t need to defend Miss CA because she is a grown woman and she can defend herself.

    It wasn’t funny, even if viewed from a liberal POV (which is the view that I’m closer to on this issue), and the delivery was terrible.

    And I’m not even going to address the content, if the asinine hatred and disdain expressed in that snippet qualifies for the illustrious title of “content”, except to say that any man who lacks the self-control and discipline to refrain from comparing a woman to a dog like that would be more true to himself and do us guys a favor by not identifying himself as being part of the male gender in any way.

    Did David Axelrod have any inner twinges about Obama’s oh-so-funny remark about Special Olympics ? Or did he dismiss that because his daughter is epileptic and not mentally challenged? That someone could so cruelly and casually demean and insult a young woman when he has a daughter of his own is breathtakingly, boneheadedly, leftist. And oh so typical of his kind. He’s Nancy Pelosi in male drag.

    as WE understand on our side they would just as soon abort those with special needs had Axelrod and his wife know their child had epilepsy they would no doubt have aborted her as well! however unfortunately for them epilepsy is not something that is identified until after the child is born…..it’s a win for the daughter though :-)

    make with regard to Carrie Prejean. She’s an American citizen who stated her answer to a question and then got trashed by every lib with an axe to grind. The fact that her stance on it is the same as Obama’s doesn’t seem to cross the mental radar screens of any of those who did the trashing.

    Does this make sense to you?

    is that she grounded it in her religious beliefs. I’m not sure Obama did that, at least not publicly. And of course there’s the fact that she will continue to campaign against gay “marriage”.

    The far-left just can’t stand that, neither can Axelsnot apparently.

    The Left does not have a sense of irony–or, as Moe has pointed out countless times, it has been beaten to death on more than one occasion by the antics of these people. And yet it resurrects itself almost daily. We need a new word for it.

    I posted a comment here at Redstate, the day after the Miss USA pageant, that Carrie was to be applauded. Even Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, mocked those that trashed her. So, to characterize liberals as reduced to just “flinging poo” on political debate ” is not accurate.

    In fact, this crude “flinging poo” adage, has been over used in the past few years and I hope and would welcome its retirement on both sides.

    ask you to point your ire or frustration in the direction of your own party. Axelrod is not some low-level grunt, nor a Hollywood freak like Perez Hilton. He’s a top adviser to this administration and, as such, what he says is tied to the POTUS. Do you seriously think that if a Republican in Dubya’s administration had made such a crude remark about some young person in the news that they wouldn’t have been hung out to dry by the MSM and the Dems?

    So, you know, if “poo-flinging” fits the crime, then poo-flinging it is. If you wish to change this, then have Obama and Jon Stewart and any other public voice of your party stand up and soundly castigate David Axelrod for his actions.

    I have a Lefty friend whose son is autistic. She blast e-mailed the vilest, Sullivanesque stuff about Sarah Palin during the election season. It’s like Obama and Hillary gettiing a pass by Lefties on SSM, except in reverse; They *know* O and Hillary don’t mean it, just as they *know* that Palin could never be a sincere advocate for any of their causes…even causes in which they have shared experience.

    For the Obamatons to be this petty and destructive means they are not making good decisions in other areas, as well.
    Sort of like when the Taliban blew up the Buddha statues in Afghanistan, they were at the same time tolerating Al Qaeda to run its 911 plot from their homeland.
    Going after a young woman for such contrived, pernicious reasons means the Obamatons are messing up important things, as we are already seeing.

    Axlerod, like most men in the Obama Admin, would not know a beautiful woman if she was right in front of them. I wonder how many straight people work in the White House these days outside the Secret Service.
