FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Gee. Barney Frank seems testy.

It’s almost as if he doesn’t like people actually treating him as some sort of elected official, instead of His Excellency, Baron Massachusetts-Four.

(Via @BrianFaughnan)

How dare that commoner object to having what he said be corrected by his betters! Didn’t he know who he was talking to?

PS: I almost imagine that Article I, Section 9 is beginning to grate upon certain of our legislators. To effectively have the thing, but not the name of the thing itself…

He belongs out of Congress and on the DailyKos page. He’d be perfect there.

I want a name and contact info… I Frankly (pun intended) don’t care if it is a Local Parking Enforcement Ordinance Officer…. I want to DONATE to whomever is running against Barney Frank….

I have a call in to someone at the MA GOP and awaiting to hear back… I want to know who is running against Frank and hopefully we can help raise them some money to provide for some TV Ad spots for him/her to go at Frank and fellow ObamaNauts – as I doubt the MA GOP is going to provide much aid – but if they see some National help may come they may match it or whatever…. Helping one Candidate Advertise generally helps the Local Brand and put some Dem’s on the defensive.

    What a disgraceful person.
    He always does that.
Whenever there’s a tough question or a challenge
he just goes on a tirade saying “Let me speak”!
“Let me finish”! like it’s a command.
    Poor camera man probably took
20 minutes cleaning the “spittle” off his
    camera lens.

It also has the rule against post-facto law-making, in other words this is the Constitutional language that explicitly bans legislating from the bench.

His questioning of a hostile witness consists of:
    - unleashing a four-minute diatribe
    - sarcastically launching some accusatory question
    - cutting the person off after one word, since he only needed to say “Yes” or “No”
    - unloading for two minutes about how the witness refuses to answer his perfectly reasonable question

I live in Barney’s District. Morse has ran and will run againt him again. Can’t say too much for Morse. He an okay Republican; gets his 25% of the vote; and isnt particularly exciting or eloquent.

Even a Butter-knife can be sharpened with a grinder and then do some damage….

As long as he is right on a good amount of the Issues then I say we help back whomever it is. Getting them just $25k from across the country via a RS push would allow for a quality Campaign Ad and significant enough area wide spots going at Frank and his Democrat buffoon friends’ antics to cause them to squirm and (if nothing else) make them spend some time, energy, money, they otherwise wouldn’t have. If Frank were to actually have some REAL PUSH against him he is likely to be “himself” and jump off the deep end and make some really dumb statements.

Challenging Murtha (see: Conservative Candidates) and morons like Frank might yield some surprises… and we’ll certainly never GAIN if we don’t VENTURE with an appropriate/significant effort. The people in these buffoons Districts’ know that they are clowns and if we continue to push them they will make even bigger fools of themselves HOPEfully ;-0 enough that people finally do rise up to vote them out. Plenty of footage of both Frank and Murtha exists (even Dodd) to go at them with in effective TV Ads. It is time, IMO, to stop the minor jabs and go for a chance Knock-out punch if we have even a remote/outside chance to land it.

questions that he doesn’t like. One day, I would like to see a citizen being interrogated by him, shout” Hey! @%#%Head! Shut up so I can answer your idiotic question!” I don’t understand why all these industries kow tow. They’re the ones with the bribery, um donation, records. And the power to move those industries elsewhere.

    Frank: This interview is over…

    Commentator: Fine. Good day, sir.

    Wonderful.

  • jonreagan

Haines is much smarter than Barney Frank…..and when he needs to be, more acerbic. As is clear from the interview, he doesn’t suffer fools easily. He’s a good interviewer, treats people with respect, but doesn’t take crap from anybody. And he doesn’t allow monologues, which frustrated Frank; “Squawk” is his show, and he runs it his way. And he’s interviewed a lot bigger fish than Barney Frank.

This was actually Barney’s second CNBC meltdown is as many days…..yesterday, he started blustering at a Business Week reporter on the network’s mid-day program, “Power Lunch”. More and more, Frank is turning into a pathetic carricature…..an aging, confused version of Elmer Fudd.

  • jonreagan

This clip missed Mark Haines’ last line, which I thought was great:

“Fine, Good day, sir. We’ll manage without you”

    nt.

  • vettepilot

That was my first thought of Frank as well, but I think he’s more of an Elmer Fudd-Sylvester the Cat lovechild…
