At least, that’s what Instapundit is reporting that these Iranian folks are chanting:
More here, here, here, and here – and note, of course, that Mirhossein Mousavi is no prize himself. None the less, the Iranians deserve a better government than the one that they’ve been saddled with.

The dominant view among Obama administration officials is that the regime will look so bad as a result of whipping up Iranian hopes for democracy and then squelching them that the regime may feel compelled to show some conciliatory response to Obama’s gestures of engagement.

Do we have word on when Obama is inviting this fellow for lunch?

Can he really be this clueless? Does he honestly believe that this was a democratically conducted election? I mean democratically in the sense of honest voting, not democratically as in Chicago style voting.
The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.

Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

whizkid (Diary) Saturday, June 13th at 7:40PM EST (link)…of what happened on my sister’s high school softball team this year when the coach decided to let his players vote for the captain. They (mostly) all voted for the popular senior, but he decided (heavens knows why) that he would pick a freshman to be captain and pretend that she won the player’s vote.
Moral of the story? You can usually get away with a little voter fraud, but if enough people realize they all voted for the loser, you get caught.
