be another reason. Along the same lines as not being allowed to spell out the true name of God and having to settle for Yahweh. Under this prohibition, any and all spellings of the name “Barrack” are correct. Including, but not limited to, “Bore ick”, “Bear-rack”, and “Oh,no you dinnint.”

Excellent analysis of how and why these mistakes occur. Around my office, we’ve had a few too many minor slipups with embarassing consequences. I’m also going to take your advice and start ripping out livers and eating them raw.

As his name is spelled in Cyrillic, the roman transliteration can pretty much be spelled any way that makes sense.

Of course, it could have always said ??????? ????????.

And I kind of disagree that this one isn’t directly Obama’s fault… shouldn’t he read these things at least once before the final version is printed? Even for a redline, or something?
