Kim Jong-il may be dying of pancreatic cancer.

Not a nice way to go, if true.

SEOUL, South Korea — The North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, who suffered a stroke last August, was also found to have “life-threatening” pancreatic cancer around the same time, a South Korean cable television network reported on Monday.

The network, YTN, a cable news station, quoted unidentified Chinese and South Korean intelligence sources for the report, which was made by YTN’s correspondent in Beijing. The station did not explain how the sources obtained the sensitive medical information from North Korea, an isolated, nuclear-armed state that has kept details of its leader’s health a closely guarded secret.

So, what should I have for lunch? I was thinking maybe Mexican, but that would involve driving, and the place doesn’t have a drive-through. I could just grab something at the supermarket when I go – it’s within walking distance and the kid loves stroller rides – but it’s usually not really cost-efficient. Maybe I’ll just have a peanut butter sandwich.

PS: You know what a common side-effect of pancreatic cancer is? Malnutrition. Which just goes to show: karma has a long memory.

that it hurts like hell when that murderous psychopath kicks the bucket.

Hmmm, lunch. There’s a nice Korean place just down the street that serves authentic bulgogi. Might be a good place to celebrate this good news. ;)

we are on our way uptown to get the best burrito in the city. Fresh pico, good beef, and lots of sour cream and guac. Of course I have now lost all faith in you seeing you like Mexican from a drive through.

On the brighter side, another murderous nutjob is about to make our planet a little nicer place to live.

It could not happen to a nicer guy. ‘Hey! Kim! Death… good luck with that buddy. Hope Daddy saved you a seat by the fire.’

Walk to the store… get a… well… whatever. The walk will do you and the kid good.

I’m disgusted by your rather casual discussion of Mexican food following the news of Dear Leader’s health.

It is ALWAYS worth driving, even sans drive-thru window, to get Mexican food. ALWAYS. Even “bad” Mexican food.

Your inability to see this obvious TRUTH of LIFE makes me doubt your humanity…

Now I know what to do for diner ! Rosalita’s it is.

For lunch, I had the leftovers from dinner last night….. Blackened chicken, potatoes au-gratin, broccoli and an ‘Arnold Palmer’ (iced tea and lemonade mixed, for the uninitiated).

In keeping with Mr. Parnell’s admonishment, instead of spending valuable time typing and subsequently posting, thy personage could have been driving to said restaurant of the Mexican persuasion.

    ;)

    Cheers !

I mean, since you asked. Tasty, and …….oh, is some ruthless tyrant, responsible for starving to death hundreds of thousands of his subjects, dying a long painful death?…….pretty nutritious, plus you can always violate the diet with ranch or bleu cheese dressing, ya know.

We’re trying to go through the pantry/fridge/freezer and eat up everything we can since we’ll be moving in less than 3 weeks.

We Lil’Kim does die, I think I’ll have some BBQ.

…cabbage being the national food of N. Korea (when they have food).

[CIA psychologist Dr. Jerold] Post, in his study of the Korean dictator, says Kim Jong Il also loves to drink a certain Hennessey cognac that sells for $630 a bottle in Korea. “He is the largest customer over the last 10 years, averaging between $650,000 and $720,000 a year in purchases — while the average [North] Korean earns only about $900 a year.”

    Source.

Has anybody looked at the correlation between Hennessey consumption and pancreatic cancer?
