For those of you bothering to watch POTUS tonight.

I wouldn’t use this in conjunction with ethyl alcohol, mind you. Maybe if it wasn’t a weeknight…

But that card could probably used for every single poltician, but cool nonetheless.

“Make no mistake” didn’t make it on the card? The man begins each sentence he says with it.

An email sent earlier today from Obama repeatedly referenced “health insurance reform.” Previously, everyone had been referring to “healthcare reform.” I think this is an Obama trick to try to focus on demonizing the insurance companies- based on poll and focus group data showing that even though people are pleased with their healthcare in general, they still do not like the insurance companies. Also, they have come up with a new plan, resurrected from the 90′s, to tax the insurance companies rather than the millionaires, small businesses and health benefits.

Nice try, but I think that people are smarter than that. Add “health insurance reform” to the BINGO game and press conference vodka shot game and wait for it…

Just heard part of the advance copy of the speech on Mark Levin.

“So Let me be clear: This isn’t about me….”

This was the first quote Levin read. I laughed thinking it was satire. He then read another excerpt and I realized he’s actually going to say it. It’s not just the “Let me be clear” portion of the sentence that is hillarious, but also: “This isn’t about me.” This perception must be sinking in with others if it has to be countered. It also has to be countered because it’s true. False humility and projection are certainly also evident.

Sorry about the source. I couldn’t find a transcript anywhere else.

The matrix is labelled with the cliches downward on the left (rows) and across the top (columns). When Zer∅ utters his first cliche, the row is determined. When he utters his second cliche, the column is determined, and we have a winner. If he repeats the same cliche twice in a row, the winner would fall on the diagonal.

Obama: “I’ve promised reform won’t add to the deficit. And I mean it.”

    And I mean it?

    Oh, brother.

Give the consumer some (market) sensitivity to that cost, and that will get fixed faster than any bureaucracy can fathom.

“I just want everybody to be clear about this” (drink)

  • 6eorge Jetson

“We inherited a deficit”. Now stop lying and admit to exacerbating the situation.

  • grumpy_old_soldier

I lasted about 15 minutes, and gave up after waiting for the end of the monologue answer to Jake Tapper’s question.

Does this buffoon EVER actually answer a question that is asked of him?

  • 6eorge Jetson

Has he compared yield spreads to the height of the froth?

Socialists like to ignore that there are two parties in any agreement.

However, when government supplies a critical mass of suckers (taxpayers, in giveaway guarantees from Fannie/Freddie that went to benefit the largely Democratic crony network of the GSEs).

  • penguin2

You have already served your country, no more shall be asked…

And I think the definition of “buffoon” precludes that he can answer a question.

  • redneck_hippie

made me turn off the TOTUS. As I commented above, he layed this pile out there, i.e., I will not add to the deficit. Then says,

    “And I mean it.”

Does anybody here have a peanut?

Doctors should make decisions based on what’s best for the the patient.

And who makes the diagnosis? ((crickets chirping))

Choices? My doctor once told the insurer my employer provided to take a hike. I’d have to pay my doctor his rate, and then eat the discount myself.

Which certainly sent a market signal. How is a doctor going to send that signal to a predatory price-engaging single payer once the monopoly practices have wiped out the free market?

The “liberal” Boston area is one of the most segregated anywhere in the US.

And as Jeff pionts out they do have the BEST and everybody knows it. I only caught the first half myself, redneck, shot off a few tweets, then SWMBO put me to work so I missed the second half, thank God, by the sounds of it.

  • djemi

In fact I’d say in the parts that I saw, BO looked down right mean, and I could swear he had a taer in his eye in the beginning, but maybe that was just the angle of the FOX camera. Not sure what colour of eyeliner it was but the eyeshadow looked silver to me.

  • $peciallist

Disagreeing with him is unacceptable….he’s a spoiled brat

  • djemi

It brings back memories of sitting on my grandfathers knees listening to their stories about how they had had to go to war because of some clown of a world leader that didn’t like to be disagreed with just like a spoiled brat. Come to thimk of it I can say the same thing about my Great Uncle and that was WWI.

  • Flagstaff

I did hear him say something about “How would you like it if your neighbor bought a new car and paid $6000 less than you did?”

My response is, “I wouldn’t mind that as bad as I’d mind finding that I had to make the payments on his car.”

  • Flagstaff

His answers are still sophomoric, solipsistic, and definitely soporific. Impossible to follow, with lies sprinkled liberally throughout.

  • djemi

I think I’d be asking my neighbor for some tips, they’re obviously better at it than me. Sure I’d be ++++++ but more at myself for not holding out for a better deal.

I watched the video of Obama making the joke about breaking into his own house and suddenly realizing he lived in the White House. It looked a little to rushed as he pretended to stick his hand into his pocket then motioned with his thumb behind him–before giving the punch line. The timing was a little off. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with anticipating and practicing answers to questions beforehand. But it was seemed rehearsed, and not off the cuff.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0709/Obama_Cambridge_police_acted_stupidly.html

On the other hand, the other day there was a question from a liberal blogger about the article in Investors Business Daily regarding Section 102 of H.R. 3200 that the President of the United States claimed to know nothing about: ?Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies?”

Of course he was briefed on the article. To say he knew nothing of the article is a complete lie.

  • http://www.suvstrategery.blogspot.com SoFiMil

about the IBD article, what is his answer? Sure would love a reporter to ask a follow-up question on that.

  • http://www.redstate.com/tnjim TNJim

I did catch a little on Levin’s rerun coming home. Then I read some of the comments here and Erick’s front pager. Pretty much the same swill his spouted in every other speech I’ve heard him make on this subject, with the possible exception of the numbers, cost wise, being higher.

  • Flagstaff

we will be paying for our neighbors’ health insurance premiums.

Right now, we only have to pay for their health care usage, which costs less.
