At the RS Gathering (Friday Night)…

…and I have just determined that while I have a laptop, I have an internet connection, and I have a video camera (currently holding two clips of Pat Toomey) – I do not have a cable that will allow me to transfer video from the camera to the laptop, and then use to show the rest of you via the Internet.

So expect a whole lot of video downloading on Sunday, apparently.

PPS: It is raining quite a bit out, yes. Half of our Contributors are still in the air, trying to get to Atlanta

PPPS: The mystery guest speaker is very cool; the room erupted in spontaneous applause when the name was announced.

    I had to work over the weekend that is what I am in the middle of right now and it’s 12:42AM Saturday night. I am pathetic, anyway, I can not wait to hear some stories. I really wanted to come down, I was supposed to be on travel down around there but I got stuck writing a sys design spec over the weekend to meet a drop deadline, so I am really jealous of y’all that were down there. BTW, that is why I have been spontaneously commenting. Reading and researching MIL-STDs docs is boring as heck sometimes.

    so I could maybe get some updates via twitter. But twitter, as with most social networking services bothers me. You just never know when some new privacy scandal is going to erupt with one of them, like it has with Facebook and Myspace. Plus, I refuse to text message. Call me old-fashioned, I am, but phones are for voice :)

    I refuse to do any website, tweet, text, myspace, facebook what not because I have no desire for anyone to be able to know who I am, where I am at or be able to find a picture of me. The nature of what I do, I do not want people to know how to find me or know what I look like.

    Speaking of which this is the closest I come to letting people know who I am over the internet. I guess my IP will allow people to find me, but even that I route wirelessly through very private double-firewalled ways. Yeah, I am ridiculous that way.
