If you’re losing Ben Cardin (D-MD)…

…a Senator who is barely known for defeating Michael Steele in the 2006 election (honestly, Maryland does not have particularly interesting Senators; sorry about that) – anyway, if you can’t get Ben Cardin to sign off on your ‘astroturf’ rhetoric, well, you have a branding problem. Watch as he manfully attempts to avoid sweating on national television over the mess that his higher-ups have landed him in:

Cardin probably saw this poll (via @RobertBluey). 71% of adults want to attend a town hall involving health care, and are currently pegged at 50% for, 45% against. Turn those numbers into likely voters… and now you know why Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) suddenly doesn’t think that health care rationing protesters are ‘un-American‘ after all. Not that she’s planning to actually face all those protesters; even if they are also 2010 voters…

Vic Snyder of AR seems like he’s still determined to pass this thing. Mike Ross seems a little more reluctant.

Vic Snyder is originally from Oregon and now represents a district that went for McCain. Fool.

Vic Snyder and Mike Ross held a townhall meeting at Arkansas Children’s Hospital on 080509 at 2pm. They had announced the townhall meeting 080409. Despite the efforts of Ross/Snyder, Secure Arkansas, Campaign for Liberty, American Majority, and several other organizations rallied 300-400 people people to show up. About 30 of which were Obamacorn activist. The effort to inform the public about the townhall meeting was pitiful and the room was too small. The first 30 minutes were wasted by Snyder and Ross, Microphones were moved around and many of the questions were pre-screened written questions. Snyder and Ross tried to hide in a children’s hospital during work hours to avoid conservative citizens, but they still managed to come. In 2010, we will need to replace Vic Snyder with David Meeks and replace the false conservative Mike Ross with Marc Rosson. More video footage will be put out soon. Links to the candidates are here=

A few of us conservative Republican precinct committeemen in Harry’s district called his office today to find out when he’ll be hosting a public town hall meeting with his constituents during the August/September recess. Guess what? His staff does not know.

He told one of us that they would be having a “venue” at which Harry would inform about the virtues of recycling and energy-efficient light bulbs.

Another was told they were not sure whether he would have any public meetings. But, he was having lots of private, secret meetings with contituents who had asked to meet with him. But the rest of us aren’t supposed to know the identies of the people requesting these secret meetings. I asked for a list. I also asked that I be allowed to attend the secret meetings.

And I asked that they alert me by e-mail as soon as Harry decides to have a public meeting. Nope. They won’t send out e-mail alerts. No, one has to either call every day or monitor Harry’s web site at all times. This public servant gives such great service to his constituents!

As Drudge likes to say, “Developing . . . .”

    Thank you.

That’s all mine (CA11 McNerney) has on the agenda while home for recess according to his office. Good news though. Heard from the organizers of the local Tea Party and we’re going to have a gathering at a park close to his house Aug. 22nd… since he won’t come to us, we’re going to him.

CW, I joined the Contra Costa Republican party and requested precinct representative! Waiting to hear back, I received an invite to some event this weekend, but can’t attend. Thanks for the encouragement! Cheryl

That’s what precinct committeemen are: political “shock workers”

Those who don’t get the connection, read “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” or “The Gulag Archipelego.”
