FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

How to (legally*) personally profit from your position as a Presidential Senior Advisor.

Just follow these easy steps!

  1. Create AKPD Message & Media, a public relations company that specializes in astroturfing.
  2. Attach yourself to the campaign of the candidate that eventually wins the 2008 Presidential election.
  3. Disengage yourself from AKPD Media, but under circumstances where the company ‘owes’ you 2 million dollars, which it will then pay back over time (we call this ‘income’).
  4. Become a Senior Advisor to the President.
  5. Have the President negotiate a tone-deaf deal between the White House and lobbyist group PhRMA to get the pharmaceutical industry to support health care rationing.
  6. ‘Discover’ one fine summer day that AKPD Media, the company that you created and which is still paying you money, has been given a fat advertising contract by PhRMA to astroturf health care rationing.
  7. Profit!

See The Conservatives, Michelle Malkin, Protein Wisdom, Bloomberg, & Hugh Hewitt for more.

Speaking objectively, it’s a great scam: all Axelrod has to do is shrug and there’s no immediately obvious way to prove that PhRMA hired AKPD to eventually put money in Axelrod’s pocket. Ah, for the days when they merely had private Swiss bank accounts…

If only she would lift the restraining order.

I always get a kick out of how smug those in the old media get when someone mentions a blog or website like they just don’t understand the complexities of reporting the news.
Michelle Malkin has just embarrassed the whole industry by exposing Axelrod’s link to the very industry his boss wants to regulate. She reports on the huge conflict of interest while they close their eyes to it.
Cha ching ain’t the name of my acupuncturist.

Let’s see if at least they have some shame and pick up on this story.
Remember the way the media always reminded us of Cheney’s link to Haliburton every chance they got ?
    Axelrod…eh… not so much.

mastered by David Axlerod. Even if they can’t get their stinking programs through they’ll find a way to line their pockets just making the effort.

I thought you wingnuts were all in favor of capitalism. What’s wrong with someone putting in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay? Is it suddenly illegal for a guy to have a job? C’mon!

It has to be a coincidence because the mainstream media repeatedly told me during the campaign that President Obama managed to emerge from the Chicago political scene as pure as the driven snow. So surely, he would not surround himself with a bunch of corrupt political players.
