Check out (via the Campaign Spot) this amazingly fatheaded – and more amusingly, techno-illiterate – posturing by Democratic Congressman Baron Hill:

Let me address Hill’s points:

  • This is not your town hall meeting. It is your constituents’, which you are providing them for their benefit.
  • You work for them.
  • You do not set the rules. Your constituents do.
  • You work for them.
  • The fact that you had to repeat that indicates that your constituents have a firmer grasp of this fact than you do.
  • You work for them.
  • Again, this is their town hall meeting; you are there to be accountable.
  • You work for them.
  • They are going to tell you how to run your Congressional office.
  • You work for them.
  • Nobody gives a tinker’s dam about why you don’t want to allow people filming you doing your job.
  • You work for them.
  • And, hey (and to evoke Jim Geraghty)! You ended up in a compromising position on YouTube anyway. Go figure.

PS: You don’t actually have to work for them.  Both Todd Young and Travis Hankins (at the very least) would be happy to relieve you of the burden.

    This seems simple to me. He appears to be overwhelmed by the duty and responsibility of running his office the way he wants regardless of the wants of his people. That can be tiresome, working so hard against the will of the people for personal profit and power.

    He looks tired.

    You should do him a favor, and vote him out. You’ll be doing a good thing and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

    The Democrats in Indiana are acting like “German Nazis”. They think that they are the elites and the enlightened ones that require servitude from the peasant-looking Hoosiers.

    They hate Gov. Daniel’s “outsourcing” strategy so much. They think that Daniels is giving up precious possessions and properties of the State so much to the VASSALS (i.e., Corporate entities.) and “uncivilized” Indians (i.e., small and medium enterprises).

    Where are the Good, Freedom Loving, God-fearing Hoosiers, Germans, Irish, Polish in Indiana nowadays? Yeah, those people who will die first before they succumb to authoritarian and statist rule of the Government.

    Common, Hoosiers!!!!!!! Let’s take back our State again! Remove the Socialists and Democrats from the State!

    He is the most vulnerable Democrat in Indiana. I do not know about you, but if I was a Democrat two term incumbent in a district that McCain-Palin carried by 2%, I would not be antagonizing voters who voted for McCain. Sounds like a recipe for political suicide to me.
