FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

I would like to thank the pro-health care rationing folks for their help.

Thanks in large part to your activities – and according to Rasmussen:

  • 49% “have a favorable opinion of those opposing the health care reforms at town hall meetings” (41% last month).
  • 59% “say the town hall protesters are citizens reflecting the concerns of their neighbors (49% last month).
  • 56% “say that it’s more important for Congressmen to hear the view of their constituents rather than explain the proposed health care legislation.”

And, best of all?  While Democrats disagree on all three of those – Republicans and independents don’t.

So.  Speaking for the Republican party: much obliged.  Can we count on your invaluable assistance, if and when the Democrats in Congress find the courage to again address cap-and-trade?

“On the issue of health care, McCain indicated he may be willing to support President Obama’s reform efforts, depending on what the president says in his joint address to Congress next week.”

“I look forward to what he specific proposals are,” said McCain. “I think the disappointment a lot of Americans display is that we are not working together more.”

Why does this not surprise me?

I think our insurance that we never use costs way too much. What are you going to do about that?

    We need new leadership.

If Obama comes out for tort reform, cross-state insurance availability, provides tax breaks for people to buy their own insurance, and formally abandons any attempt to get to single-payer via a ‘public option’ I may be willing to support the President’s proposal, too. :)

I don’t expect that he will, of course.

I asked him face to face a few months ago who the leaders of the “loyal opposition party” were. He didn’t himself as one. He refused that mantle.

If he doesn’t want to take responsibility to be a leader of the “loyal opposition” party, he should just shut the hell up.

My recommendation: fax him a letter telling him just that.

Here’s his office info and fax number in D.C.:

    241 Russell Senate Office Building
    Washington, DC 20510
    Main: (202) 224-2235
    Fax: (202) 228-2862

Make no mistake — based on what he said at his town hall meetings, McLame aims to “reach across the aisle to his friends on the other side” and compromise.

And, if it fits, add that you’re a conservative who just became a precinct committeeman in the Party.

    Thank you.

I love how the lefties call us “racists” when we even dare ask if illegal immigrants will be covered under Obamacare. And then they vehemently deny any coverage for undocumented aliens.

But they should know that we know their next agenda item after cap and tax is going to be immigration reform.. and that’s when Obamacare will see its ranks swell by 20 million!

Take a peek at cash for clunkers: Health Care will work the same way

Hurts poor people because “cheap used cars are getting very expensive”

Air Traffic Controllers answering the TELEPHONES can’t get the money back out to dealers who have been tossed further into debt by the program.

Terrible environmentally as Carbon emissions generated from the manufacture of an asset prematurely retired are never recupperatedd: Producing an auto generates 80,000 (4 tons) of CO2 …..

[No, let's not have propaganda for fascist health rationing around here. You can't bite my finger online, punk. ??NS]

    htp://www.calnurses.org/media-center/press-releases/2009/september/california-s-real-death-panels-insurers-deny-21-of-claims.html

It’s real. It’s happening now. It’s affecting all of us.

Why are we not protesting this? Or are we willing to accept this, so long as it comes from insurance companies, but not from Washington??

  • Jack_Savage

If you think it’s bad now, just wait.

Wait a second – is this from California? The answer to the problems of the United States? The closest thing to socialism? Things aren’t going well there maybe? Maybe the rationing is due to regulation?

I wish Kos would stop sending in the guys in their Mom’s basements. Idiot rookies.

  • Richard Mullins

I’ve been looking at some of his comments and it seems that he’s taking a hard left view. We need to call him/her out and see if we get a response.

has an affiliated organizations list at the bottom. At the top of that list above all the other nurses organizations is “Proud member of the AFL-CIO”.

That pretty much sums it up, along with your points.

    What ObaMorons….

    1. You have the ability to APPEAL decisions with your Insurance co.
    2. You can GO ELSEWHERE to another co.
    3. You can ultimately SUE your Ins. co. if it really comes down to it (which you will NOT be able to do with Fed. “Health” Panels
    4. YOU CAN GO SPEND YOUR OWN MONEY! which, again, you WILL NOT be able to do if all Medical Centers/Agents are REQUIRED to participate in the Federal plan and waiting lists start to begin because of it…. You will NOT be allowed to get a procedure, at any price even with your own money, if you are not APPROVED FOR IT by the Govt. — because, after all, it would be UNFAIR if you get to pay for an MRI if someone else is waiting for one (gotta use the Pretzel-logic of Liberals)

and on, and on, and on….. Liberals always have to ignore the history of the humanity/planet to hold their positions. All your various warped positions and/or out-right LIES have been covered exhuastively all over RedState including in my own Diaries: HealthCare
    Part One- Townhall HC distortions/propaganda
Part Two – More HC Townhall Hi-jinks
Part Three – HC Townhall: Like Hollywood, Democrats used new Actors to replay the same Script.
Part Four – HC Townhalls: Steny Hoyer (D-MD) edition.

It is so obvious these folks are PUBLIC SCHOOL flunkies and (not to say everyone that went to Public School IS a flunky, plenty of folks get wise to what goes on their and are SELF STARTERS and work outside the system to EDUCATE THEMSELVES above the worthless education they would otherwise get! but…) these folks never learned Critical Thinking and the basic concept of Research… These fools think a Thesis is automatically relevant/proven just because they FELL IT.

How will rationing work with people who are overweight, smokers, diabetic, etc? I understand that this may range from denying care to “charging them more” for their health care?

If either of those true, what will happen to those who take part in indiscriminate sex, particularly homosexual sex? If they have HIV or AIDS, will they be denied coverage or charged more?

I know this is a “no-win” question, but to allow them to just kick the can down the road on this issue is not in the country’s best interest, and certainly does not benefit the diabetic, overweight, smokers, or gays.
