White House: It was all Valerie Jarrett’s fault!

More accurately, it was a source from the White House Counsel’s office:

The counsel’s office places part of the blame on the Office for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement, which is overseen by Obama Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President Valerie Jarrett. Jones’s “czar” job was created by the OIAPE, and Jarrett interviewed Jones for the position. In speeches before far-left groups over the past five months, Jarrett touted Jones’s hiring, in part, because the groups, many of which count 9/11 truthers and radical environmentalists and anti-capitalists as members, were familiar with Jones’s brand of anti-Americanism and economic radicalism.

(via Jim Treacher) Well, most accurately of all this was an anonymous shot from one faction of the White House against another faction of the White House. Welcome to Washington, DC.

It goes like this. The current White House Counsel is Greg Craig, and he is hated by progressives.  Partially it’s due to him being the public face of Obama’s complete capitulation on FISA, back when it became clear that he would need to do that if he ever wanted to be elected President; partially because he’s a Washington insider who is also friends with Karl Rove; and mostly because they think that he’d make a great scapegoat for this administration’s foreign policy / counter-terrorism problems.  Hence the rumors last month that he was going, probably.  All of which would put him in a different faction than, say, Valerie Jarrett – who, of course, gushed over Van Jones, back in the day.  An opposing faction, to put it mildly.  And now that Jones is gone, and people are looking for somebody to blame… somebody in the White House Counsel’s office just happens to be available for an anonymous quote to The American Spectator that just happens to cast aspersions on somebody who just happens to be on the other side of an internal grudge match.

This is what DC calls a ‘coincidence.’

PS: Preventing this sort of thing – or at least minimizing it – is the job of a White House Chief of Staff.  No doubt it’ll die down, once the administration acquires a competent one.

Rahm calls it “exploiting the crisis”. It’s all the rage everywhere now.

Glenn Beck focused on the “Death of the Small Businesses” topic yesterday. He probably saw this coming and that it’s imploding pretty much on its own.

American Spectator features an article by Jeffrey Lord about a commonality between Van Jones and Obama. It’s good.

Can’t wait to see what kind of ace Glenn has up in his sleeve this week.

Quick, look over there, it’s Rush Limbaugh under the rug in Valerie Jarrett’s office and he’s causing all these strange ideas and goals to emerge from the fine and upstanding citizens in the current administration.

Whoa….. Over in the corner, office near Robert Gibbs’ desk…. It’s that absolute monster Glenn Beck and he’s got a Mormon Bible in his hand……at The White House !!!….. He’s screaming “Thou shall not lie !”. He’s crazy, we don’t lie…. ever……Everybody get down before that Bible detonates !

No, better yet, look over here…… It’s Teh Eeeeevil Booooooooooosh’s memory scanning ability forcing Israel’s Foreign Minister to DEMAND Obama abide by some under-the-radar agreement between Israel and The P.A. – this one’s not snark…. Really…. Go to http://www.israelnationalnews.com and look at the headline columns for a link to what FM Lieberman is demanding from Teh Mess-I-Yah.

Comedy comes in all forms, especially when an Infidel Jewish Politician demands something from a Jihadi-Communist Dictator-In-Training-Pants POTUS.

    Cheers !

I’ve heard that Glen Beck broadcasts from NYC. What a brave man to set foot in that town! I heard there are over 100 murders committed there each year! But what REALLY worries me, is that Mr. Beck hasn’t denied committing them! I’m worried that Glen Beck has been murdering people in cold blood. Why won’t he deny that he is a mass murderer? That only makes him more guilty in my book. I hope Mr. Beck, a self-confessed drug addict, will come clean and put my fears to rest, but I fear the worst.

  • Jack_Savage

And this is what passes as leadership and debate on the left?

Glen must have hit a nerve. Good for him.

  • yoyo

Kenny, I almost fell out my office chair! The “Dictator-in-Training-Pants” part just did it!

The mental picture that this paints…GET IT OUT! I just see a toddler Obama, dressed like Qaddafi (w/ fake medals and all), sucking his thumb.

I am so screwed for the rest of the day…..

    Thanks, Kenny!

I’m scared of this black and all the white honky’s out their that want to remake this country versus failing back to what the founding fathers had planned for this country.. Smaller government….

  • USNJIMRET

He did that show a couple of months ago, or one with some of the exact same people in the crowd.
Also, when FOX News has a rerun show, watch the FOX News bug in the corner. If it doesn’t say “Live”, it’s not.
    At least that’s my opinion.
And it does nothing to take away from the validity of what Beck talked about.
The destruction of small business is NOT an unintended consequence of other government actions.
    It is the intended consequence.

I watched part that show when it was live, and it was about a month ago. I agree with what you ssaid about the destruction of small busuness, too. Between Cap/Tax and health care it’ll be hard for most of them to survive.

    They’re not!

Moderators will be along shortly…although that username has Moe written all over it. A custom sig line would seal the deal.

Glenn Beck said today on F&F more to come this week “PEOPLE WILL GO TO JAIL!!!”. Go get um Glenn!

    These people are weird.

  • lurker9876

Ah…that makes sense. I did not see the original run and did not notice the “Rerun” icon as suggested. But this rerun is just as good as the original…unlike the reruns of those prime TV shows.

  • lurker9876

    Yahoo! Can’t wait!

But, I understand that when Glenn was over at CNN, Glenn was not nice to Bush and wanting to see Bush impeached for the NSA/FISA/Patriot Act.

If he goes after a conservative president after Obama, I won’t watch Glenn after that.

  • wolfster38

Glenn went after Bush after Bush fell off the left end–patriot act, spending like a lib

  • itdiehard

When will any Conservative get nominated? I’m still waiting…

  • greyfire

Valerie Jarrett was Obama first pick as his chief of staff as a senator to take his Senate Seat. When that didn’t happen she got a nice job in the white house She might be at fault but I wouldn’t hold my breath that she is going to get thrown under the bus.

Bruce Thornton, a professor of Classics at American University of Cal State Fresno wrote:
Lenin called them “useful idiots,” those people living in liberal democracies who by giving moral and material support to a totalitarian ideology in effect were braiding the rope that would hang them. Why people who enjoyed freedom and prosperity worked passionately to destroy both is a fascinating question, one still with us today.

But, under the name of ?liberalism?, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.? – Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Uproarious! I suspect we will be hearing about the Eeeeevil Booooooooooooooooosh Admin for some time to come, i.e. whenever a handy scapegoat is needed for the failures of Teh Mess – I – Yah.

We were lucky to get rid of VJ

  • azred

And she is from the hood, so all things will be made good. That would be like Pinnochio throwing Gepetto under the bus. Obachio couldn’t get out of the way of his oak tree size nose to even attempt it.

Bad analogy, but the picture is clear.

Valerie Jarrett and Van Jones, that is.

See my Just askin’ – Just sayin’ blog article ( http://ja-js.blogtownhall.com), entitled: Now, just a darn minute! Who the heck’s really in charge of this cluster… er, ah …fluke, anyway?
