Boehner to White House: You’ve been dodging our calls since April.

I’m translating this into English, of course – but not too much; Boehner made it clear Monday that the White House was disinterested in getting anything except a rubber-stamp on health care.

Earlier this year, GOP leaders sent a letter to the president in May stating that they would like to work with the administration to find “common ground” on healthcare reform.

But the administration responded with a tersely worded letter indicating that they had healthcare reform under control.

So, how’s that control thing working out for you, Democrats? I’m guessing not too well, given who you feel the need to push back against. “I’m pleased that the White House is finally responding to Republican health care ideas instead of pretending they don’t exist.” That’s funny – and I can’t believe that you gave her the opportunity to write that before the speech even started.

That was just dumb.

and so, except for Baucus, they told the GOP to take a hike.

Then all of a sudden the blue dogs came to life and Reid didn’t have 60 votes.

To the Tea Party Patriots behind the curtain.

My guess is the dwellers of the politburo in the walled city of WDC think that America is still asleep and they can do what they want.

    Go green, reset congress.

There simply isn’t enough Dem only votes to pass Health Care in the House, the only option left for the Oval Office Occupant is to finally accept **some** Republican ideas.
Unfortunately, I’m guessing, it will be only those that some of the weaker Republicans feel give them personally enough cover to vote “Aye” on.
Which won’t really be much of a victory, IMO.
Because I’m pretty sure that it won’t be Tort Reform, cross state line portability, or defeat of the “Public Option” insanity.
Of course, I could be wrong. That happens often enough.
But in this case, it’s a wrong I would gladly suffer!!

Just like William “Cold Cash” Jefferson represents all Dems? Just like Bill Clinton represents all Dems? Just like Barney Frank represents all Dems? Just like Elliot Spitzer represents all Dems?

Had enough? There’s more I could point to. Lots more.

    Moe,

Over at the Sac Bee this just broke, or I just saw it.

Republican Assemblyman Mike Duvall resigned from office today after revelations that he described lewd details of two sexual affairs at a televised committee hearing.

Duvall may be a philandering hypocrite, but at least he did the honorable thing in the end and resigned. More Republicans who get caught doing this sort of thing should follow his example.

See who sets the record for “Longest unused account–turned troll”

Then again, giving trolls a medal, even for their own stupidity and ridiculousness, will probably be taken as an honor.
