FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Are you a Democratic legislator in a Republican-leaning seat?

Because if you are, here is an advisory: as of this moment, if the Right catches you or your staff within 100 yards of an ACORN office or worker we will cheerfully crucify you with that organization.  And by ‘crucify’ I mean ‘take the metaphorical and rhetorical equivalent of long iron nails and permanently attach you to ACORN with them.”  As the above link to Jon Stewart’s appalled reaction to all of this shows, public perceptions of the group shifted, and not to the benefit of the people that like to use ACORN.  Now would be a good time for individual Democratic politicians to start publicly breaking with the group, in fact.

Seriously.  The San Diego video is out, and this one involves a guy talking about why Tijuana is the best place to smuggle underage El Salvadoran hookers across the border (because he has contacts there).

Expect a lot more use of the “they were just playing along” defense from ACORN, by the way: it isn’t much of a defense, but right now it’s about the only one that they have left. ACORN’s problem, of course – well, its problem is that they have an institutional culture that doesn’t bat an eye at prostitutes and would-be pimps coming in and asking for tax advice on running underage illegal brothels. So one of its problems is that when you have to concede that your group did in fact give tax advice on running an underage illegal brothel, ‘over the top’ loses much of its meaning.

Sure! The Mexican lawyer was just playing along, so he could get info out of the “pimp”to turn him in to the Law. And I have this bridge in London….
These are NOT isolated incidents, with “just a few bad apples”! Everywhere these two people go to ACORN “establishments”, it is the same….ACORN employees across the Nation are ready, willing, and apparently able to assist in breaking a plethora of American laws.
A few bad apples? Hardly! It seems to be systemic!
And when is the mainstream (fringe!) media going to cover these stories??? About the same time ACORN is going to become an honorable organization!
Don’t hold your breath for either to happen!

Stewart link, I hadn’t seen it. Good for him to at least have a normal reaction to the whole thing. I got the feeling that some of these acorn people were trying to impress the pimp and prostitute. Especially the lady in California who made stuff up. I don’t think she was on to them, I think she was just trying to impress them.

    Great find on Twitter. Kudos.

I’m not a big Jon Stewart fan but he has more credibility on this issue than 95% of the “real” MSM journos. And it was damned funny!
We’ve come a long way since the dark days of January.

I posted this over at Powerline. The amount of human smuggling done by the Hispanics (including the Cubans) is phenomenal.

The man who was interviewed caught my attention when my cop radar started beeping. This guy is the real deal. He’s not the half crazy former hooker that claims to have shot her husband. As I watched him, I recognized he was actually interviewing the two people in front of him. He wasn’t sure what to make of them, probably because they were so over the top, he figured they were either legit and easy marks, or the two worst undercover cops he had ever met.

When he was talking, his hand was over his mouth in a closed manner, that means he wasn’t trusting the two. He also spoke in generalities, “I have contacts…” For what exactly? Getting close enough to the edge to see if the two would bite, but not over the edge to get arrested.

The next test was offering to buy the prostitute. He asked how much. She stumbled. He knew something was up. If she had been having sex for money for years, as she claimed, she would have run down the laundry list of prices for services, like a waitress at the local Outback, ending up with the whole weekend for “x” dollars.

The great thing about a serious bad guy is they are usually in the business to make money. They are greedy. So even though he was being cautious, he greed drove him to make enough of a statement to look real bad. If the San Diego PD did their job they’d be pulling his criminal history and digging into his background and his associates. Employed where he is, in the city where he is makes good sense that he is in fact a human smuggler.

What better place to be and job to have to help promote your second career?

And you are spot on. This guy was absolutely for real, and on the public payroll.

Did they get a tape in Detroit? John Conyers district? The guy that was going to have them investigated and then stopped the investigation? The same John Conyers whose wife is going to prison? The same city where Kwami’s demise came?

    MMMmmmmm

Does anyone know if they shot all these videos before any of them started to air?

    I was hoping they did

  • smitch61

proudgop.. I belive they were taped in June and July… There are some nervous people in Detroit…. I think they just might have one. It would be a real blow to the great people of Detroit, and Michigan.

There’s 40 more hours of videos yet to be released. One can hazard a guess where they might have been shot.

ACORN is a Cloward-Piven subversive organization, as I expect the ACORN training program demonstrates. Just waiting for Beck-Breibart to put the spotlight on ACORN training.

Barry has been fully aware of this, as he was once chief ACORN trainer for Chicago area. So he’s complicit.

The notion that ACORN merely stumbled into corruption is naive, if not disingenuous.. ACORN is designed to overthrow the system by the Cloward-Piven strategy of flooding and overwhelming it.

I found this on American Thinker – September 12 – I don’t know how to do links unless this comes up as one automatically.

It’s not about acorn, but it’s interesting.
