Germans will walk out if Ahmadinejad speech involves Holocaust denial. Huzzah.

(Via Hot Air Headlines) I have a problem with this.

Germany will walk out of the U.N. General Assembly if Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust in a speech he will give Wednesday, and it wants other European Union countries to do the same, the foreign ministry said.

My problem with this is that intolerance to Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism should be so instinctive and reflexive that nobody would have let Ahmadinejad talk at the UN in the first place. The Canadians aren’t bothering to wait for the inevitable vileness; they’re just going to walk out (via Instapundit).  So on that curve the German response gets down graded from its original A to a B-.

Mind you, that’s a heck of a lot better than the F that we’re getting. Did somebody at the UN with a malignant sense of humor schedule this one?  The President is going to speak the same day as Iran’s Ahmadinejad, Libya’s Gadhafi and Zimbabwe’s Mugabe; you have to wonder whether Syria’s al-Assad and/or North Korea’s Il-sung Jong-Il had scheduling conflicts.  Doesn’t anybody at the White House check people’s work before they send it out?

Wouldn’t it be Kim Jong-Il speaking for North Korea? Il-Sung has some serious scheduling conflicts; he assumed room temperature ages ago.

GOOD!!!!! I hope everyone walks out. Especially when the devil talks about the Holocaust.

Come on, Moe- seriously? How else would we be able to always provide the perfect gift, or the perfect translation if we weren’t doing our homework first? /sarc off

I have to admire Germany for putting that statement out there.

I wonder if the Democrats will bring up a motion to protest Germany’s incivility.

I think all the members of the UN could learn a thing or two from Joe Wilson. Ahmadinejad needs to be called out on a national stage by the rest of the world. A statement like “You Lie” would go a long way. And followed by everyone in the hall walking out would be the perfect follow up.

There really are only a dozen or so remotely civilized nations in The World. I nearly puked watching our puke of a President up there kowtowing and apologizing to a bunch of thugs and kleptocrats. That man has to go!

    Unfortunately, I have.

It is a cesspool of anti-semitic behavior propagated under the guise of diplomacy. It is a place where blocks of like minded “diplomats” meet behind closed doors or over lunch to discuss despicable things such as letting this creep speak to get their message of hate airtime.

All the while, many of them will feign public outrage so as to not be swept up in the admonition which would come with realization they approve such behavior.

So to walk out, is actually (for some) an act of bravery undertaken because they have been overruled by the stinking despots, cowards and other trash which permit this to happen as an act of democratic behavior. What truly vexing, contra-intellectual and despicable and dishonest demeanor.

…unless you are blogging from your private island, while being served drinks with umbrellas in them by your house staff, all paid for with Oil for Food funds. You let your ethics and morals get in the way didn’t you!

Or throw hot coffee on him? This is a rat, not a man. Treat him like the animal he is.

…the UN building, right now, today, was somehow transported to another place and another time in another universe.. Imagine how much better the rest of this planet would be…and how worse the UN’s new home would fare.

The Anti-Semitism of the congregation of diplomats was obvious when Obama mentioned how indescriminate rocket attacks on israel can’t be tolerated, was followed by a few crickets chirping, and then his follow up about how Israeli settlements can not be tolerated was followed up with a round of applause.

Tangerine Dream and Nena (99 Red Balloons) !

Hmm!!! Wait! I guess that has been a few decades ago!

As far as scheduling Big BRObama with the other dictators, the Beige House does not care, because Life is beige: no clear distinctions, your “right” and “wrong” are just opinions, no better or worse than somebody else’s “right” and “wrong”. You are too full of heat, dude! Chill out, be cool, like Big BRObama!

    Peace out! :)

Which never fails to amaze even as we all know Jews are among the most solid and reliable of liberals. My biggest family fights oddly are with Jews over the U.N. Jews have become nihilistic in so many ways (abortion being numero uno).

Dinnerjacket never should have been allowed in this country much less to speak at the U.N. But in my perfect world there is no U.N., on these shores or anywhere else. Star Wars bar scene indeed. Terrorists, dictators, genocidal maniacs and jackals.
