Gore coming to Va. for Deeds

Former Vice President Al Gore will be coming to Virginia on Friday to give a last-minute boost to the Democratic candidate for governor, Creigh Deeds, a party source said.

Gore will headline a private fundraiser in McLean at the home of longtime Democratic supporters Al and Claire Dwoskin.

But surely this doesn’t necessarily mean…

Obama in Virginia, But Not For Deeds

President Obama is in Fairfax County today.

But not to campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds.

Instead, Obama visits the Fairfax County Parkway extension today with Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood to talk about federal stimulus spending.

Ah.

    as soon I figure out how to put a picture of those stupid recovery.gov signs up on the web I will bring them to redstate. Recovery.gov signs go up much faster than the work actually getting started, and why oh why the farifax county pkway extension? Does anyone at recovery.gov travel 95/395 North? Oh, don’t hold your breath on the pictures have to figure out how to get off phone.

    Obama’s not just ignoring Deeds. He’s ignoring the faithful SF Lefties too.

    The One is coming to San Francisco tomorrow for a fundraiser but won’t address the adoring masses. In fact, they’re hiding him away, so CodePink and gay rights groups can’t embarrass him with inconvenient policy questions.

    I don’t remember this, but boy, I would’ve enjoyed watching Gore answer this one.

    “You’re always sensitive about having your San Francisco moment here,” said former White House spinmeister Chris Lehane.

    He still recalls a news conference he organized here in 2000 for then-presidential candidate Al Gore. It turned into a near-disaster when a “transvestite kept asking if he would support public funding for sex changes.”

    “No matter how you answered, you get in trouble,” Lehane said.
