970K for Simmons; 900K for Dodd. Please also note that Dodd’s spokesman carefully did not mention his candidate’s cash-on-hand while making excuses for Dodd’s lackluster third quarter, which suggests that the lobbyist crony* is having problems on that front, too. Couple that with his ongoing Countrywide problem, and one has to wonder what the next set of polls will look like…

PS: Rob Simmons, Sam Caligiuri, and Peter Schiff are all running for the right to defeat Dodd. We’re fortunate to have a strong field for that primary.
*Note that the K Street availability mentioned in that link was in the third quarter. Maybe Dodd should start thinking about spending more time with his family? Ireland is a lovely place to live, I understand.

proudgop Thursday, October 15th at 12:07PM EDT (link)but we are going to have nasty primary on our hands which only helps Dodd
The WWE McMahon, Linda has already spent 2 million on the race and promises to spend nearly 30.
I would appreciate it if Linda McMahon would stop sending mailers to my house
kyoufuu Thursday, October 15th at 12:35PM EDT (link)I’m looking forward to this primary though.

cusefan96 Thursday, October 15th at 12:37PM EDT (link)is a phony who contributes to Democrats and doesn’t like to vote. Delegates who will be voting in the primary are already wise to this.
Caliguri is the most conservative of the group. Simmons has the most name recognition statewide, and would likely fair well in a debate with Dodd.
Those are the two I hope this comes down to.

McMahon worries me
zbigreddogz Thursday, October 15th at 4:50PM EDT (link)She’s totally unqualified and more untrustworthy then Specter, but if she’s actually going to spend $30 million she could accidentally beat Simmons, who, frankly, is the only one who I think has a realistic chance of winning.
I like Caliguri, but I wish he’d run for House.
