Christie had a 52% share of the independent vote in the PPP poll taken over the weekend where he lead by six percent overall. Hopefully, a 58% share holds up and is too much to overcome for Corzine. Additionally, a lot more independents showed up to the polls than most organizations were expecting. It will be interesting to see how they break.

I stand by that. To keep the ACORN Zombies from consuming his flesh, he must keep the Living Dead at bay by winning cleanly and clearly, to make any court challenge look like an attempt to steal the vote.

Christie has an 11% lead right now, but must maintain a healthy lead to avoid democratic shenanigans. The margin of victory in Virginia for McDonnell is encouraging. The conservatives obviously came out strong. That may help Christie in New Jersey….

It’s become so endemic, that is expected of them. It’s become a joke.

Just imagine that the Florida Gators made it to the national championship game, and it was understood that unless routed by their opponent, the Gators were a lock to win…because it’d obvious to everyone that they AND the officials would be cheating.

The outcry would be deafening. And yet, our very country is functioning under similar circumstances, and…I hear crickets.

I really didn’t think it would get this far without the gap closing.

It will be so damn awesome if Christie can pull off a win in Jersey. Corzine has been a horrific governor and it speaks volumes about the State itself if they re-elect that scumbag.

41.1% Corzine
Daggett at 5.6%

Gloucester with 100% or precincts reporting, a win for Christie.

I always feel like those are the times that Dems do their math to figure out just how many votes they need to win. And what do you know!

Christie: 49.3%
Corzine: 44.1%
Daggett: 5.6%

Wow.

If I was betting, I would bet Christie will pull it out.

I hope I’m right.

Barone and a guy from RealClearPolitics both said on Friday on Hugh Hewitt that if Daggett polled a single digit, Christie would probably win.

Looks like they might have been right.

Once these three districts run out of votes to report, Corzine is done.

Forrester won with over 60% of the vote in 2005 and Corzine wins 64-26??? Someone from Redstate get some confirmation on this. The AP and the NJSOS have to have switched the numbers. No way.

A seven-point lead with almost 60% of the results in and most of Newark and the surrounding area reporting.

He’s got it, folks. It won’t be close enough for the Dems to steal.

In problem places: Corzine is up 2 to 1 in Mercer County, and by 10 points in Camden — no votes reported at all yet in Burlington County.

Its not even that close, CC has a 100K lead with nearly two thirds in.

It is looking very good, unless Burlington is being held back to try to stuff enough in. And I don’t think they can at this point.

…Burlington is coming in now at about the same percentage as statewide. 50% Christie to 43% Corzine.

…from Corzine headquarters that the mood was “subdued,” and that they expected the Gov. would be clearly ahead right now. So, they aren’t ready to start celebrating just yet at Corzine headquarters.
