The non-AGW non-snows of Kilimanjaro.

Professor Sinninghe Damste’s research, as discussed on the site of the Dutch Organization of Scientific Research (DOSR) — a governmental body — shows that the icecap of Kilimanjaro was not the result of cold air but of large amounts of precipitation which fell at the beginning of the Holocene period, about 11,000 years ago.

The melting and freezing of moisture on top of Kilimanjaro appears to be part of  “a natural process of dry and wet periods.” The present melting is not the result of “environmental damage caused by man.”

Guess that Al Gore’s going to come up with a new talking point – HA! I kid, I kid. He’ll ignore it completely, of course. Doesn’t fit the religious orthodoxy.  It’s too good an iconic image for proselytizing efforts.  Can’t confuse the faithful, no?

    The picture is completely dishonest because the viewer is unaware of deforestation that took place around the mountain over the years (for timber), which means there’s less moisture being “trapped” in the surrounding area to form the ice. Don’t expect Al Gore to issue a retraction though anytime soon.

    Al Gore’s life work has been thoroughly debunked. The bottom has fallen out on the bullying of anyone who questions global warming after ClimateGate. Under real scientific scrutiny that’s free of politics, the global warming alarmists will be thoroughly discredited over time.

    The Left came awfully close to enslaving mankind into permanent Statism with this junk science.

    One of at least 9 in the film that must be told to children in the UK before being forced to view the film. On the Kilimanjaro claim, the court said there was insufficient evidence to believe conditions were due to human activity. The court ruled the film a political piece. One doesn’t know if the ruling is being carried out. Few people even know this happened, it’s never mentioned in articles I read. If the media doesn’t report it, it doesn’t exist.

    on heat islands (large cities), then they will naturally show that the “earth’s temperature” is rising, since large conglomerations of concrete and steeele tend to absorb more heat and let it off slower than surrounding bucolic areas.. It’s like measuring wind in a cave or rainfall in a tunnel.- — not very bright.

    Alas, the Gullible Warming crowd turns out to be it’s own worst enemy! Who knew?!
