Sen. Reid to GOP: I need some time off to raise money.

He had a fundraiser in New Orleans that he rather badly needed to do, and never mind the rhetoric on how important it is to pass health care rationing.

The GOP mocked him, as was only fitting. The GOP is, in fact, using it as local campaign fodder; and so Senator Reid doesn’t get to go to New Orleans.  He’s quite upset about it, too*: it’s unclear to whether it’s from being done unto as he has done, or simply because Reid needs all the help that he can get.

*I don’t know: is he about to cry?  I think that Reid looks likes he’s about to cry.

DISGUSTING piece of human excrement DESERVES that and so MUCH MORE :)

Harry Reid is the epitome of what a weasel looks like!

It could be worse though – if he loses next year will we get that absolute piece of pond scum Dick Durbin instead? Yikes – he’s only a hair behind Schumer as the most obnoxious Senator.

Hmmm…I coulda sworn that a couple of days ago you were equating your ‘friends’ on the other side with those who tried to stop the abolition of slavery (oh…that’s right…it was *your* party who did that; I’m sorry. My bad)

    “Friends”?

Give me an ever-lovin’ break. How in the world these pieces of pond scum manage to spew forth heaping piles of steaming manure with a straight face is beyond my comprehension.

The man had the nerve to stand up there and call the other side of the aisle “his friends” after all the times he(or others of his side), have impugned GOP efforts to fight for their constituencies. We should feel sorry for him, because of all the events he has had to cancel; as if his fellow senators don’t have personal lives and plans, especially when this is the holiday season.

Hard to feel sorry for someone who dishes it out, but can’t take it. New name for him: whimpering weasel.

would it not have been better strategy to let Harry go? A two-day delay is a two-day delay after all. Aren’t we all in favor of playing a delay game here?

Reid is one of the most incompetent senate leaders ever. First, the compromise this week was not even a true compromise, according to Dem Senators. So he just threw up a trial balloon which is guaranteed to blow up in his face.

The fundraiser is a perfect example of the trouble he is in. He needs money badly, because otherwise he will lose next year. But if he doesn’t get health care passed, his base will defect. I love the irony.

The man needs to go. Period. He & Pelosi are public enemies #1 & 2.

The thought that ANYONE would want to give Reid money jusy makes me shake my head in utter amazement. The socialists are just desperate to take yours – because they cannot produce it on their own.

I don’t know … It’s more like him claiming that he had a compromise that everyone loved and then daring any Dem who’d call his bluff to claim in public that his leader is a liar. He’s trying to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy or a fait accompli or whatever the right cliche is. The truth doesn’t matter – just whether he gets his way or not.

Harry Reid thinks he can order Republicans to work through weekends ceaselessly debating Obamcare whenever HE likes but can call for a couple days off whenever it’s convenient to him. Kudos for MItch McConnell and the GOP Senators for making him stick to his words and pay the price – as much as I’m sure THEY’D all like a weekend off.

“?I think that this debate has really come to a point that I?ve rarely seen in the Senate ? in fact, I’ve never seen it ? to have my friends on the other side of the aisle come to the floor and in some way try to embarrass or denigrate me,? Reid said…”

Of course, the majority leader of the Senate characterizing his opponents as cut from the same cloth as those who supported slavery doesn’t count

But perhaps it is a clue that the momentum is actually going in the opposite way from where Reid is telling the media it’s going. In that case letting him go to NOLA would play into his interest.

…Representing her Loony Left Constituency. I loathe to say it, but SanFran is the Bastion of the Left. There is NO way she will be removed.

Harry Reid is in DANGER-DANGER due to all of the East-Bound Regulation and Tax refugees coming into Nevada from California. They remember where they are coming from and why, and they are fed up with the Spend-Tax-Spend governments (Local, State, and Federal.)

I think that this is the reason why the Conservative Grassroots has taken over the GOP establishment in NV. The governed is tired of being ill-represented.

Un-frigging-belivable!! He DOES realize they’re supposed to be enemies, right? If my enemy told me what he needed, ESPECIALLY if needed it to retain the ability to do the things that MADE him my enemy, he wouldn’t get help. I’d sacrifice much; sleep, money, whatever, to make sure he DIDN’T get the thing he needed. Course I probably have more stones and more principles than the entire GOP congressional delegation, so YMMV.
