Report: WH in full CYA/BDS mode over Christmas attack.

A quick survey of priorities:

  • In 2001, the American government’s response to a successful series of terrorist attacks was to look outwards to see who to hit for this*.
  • In 2009, the American government’s response to an only-because-we-got-lucky unsuccessful terrorist attack was to look inwards to see who to blame for this. (H/T: Nice Deb)

I think that, all things considered, I prefer the first approach.

Not so much with the former.

If Mr. Haskell is telling the truth, and I have no reason to believe he isn’t, why is the FBI trying to cover this up? According to Mr. Haskell, other passengers are coming out and coroborating his account.

I believe nothing that comes out of this administration, and/or anyone under their control, which is just about everyone. I put absolutely nothing past Obama, more importantly Emmanuel, Axelrod and the Czars. When Emmanuel said “you never want to let a crisis go to waste” and, we know they tend to manufacture crises, how would you interpret the fact that there was a second bomber that most don’t know about?

  • ocleverone

not a coordinated attack by Al Qu’ada. One deranged man not the organization bent on destroying the U.S.

Heck, this administration even threw AQ under the bus.

  • michigan

Woefully pathetic, it will be impossible for the administration to ?protect? in earnest, something that they instinctively hate and do not believe in. This will continue; the country should be afraid.

A second bomber destroys the Obama narrative: nothing to see here, there are no terrorists — just extremists — instead you should be discussing my historic health care reform bill.

    The 5 Stages
Denial – “Just fireworks.” “The system worked.”
    Anger – “It’s Bush’s fault”
Bargaining – Use civilian court system.
Depression – This will slow BOH’s agenda down if he let’s reality and the nation’s topic of discourse interfere with his narrative. The headlines are supposed to be talking about his great new society.
    Acceptance – Order an investigation.

    I’ll say this much.
If this is a concocted story, and fabricated “Conspiracy Theory”, then the attorney missed his calling, and should write novels.

she will jam the undercarriage. Besides, she’s good for laughs.
I shouldn’t pick on the poor slob, she symbolizes the entire administration, if you can call this circus of fools and blunderers an administration.
Actually it’s modern liberalism in a nutshell.

and give him all the authority he needs to crack down on terrorists, illegal aliens, and incompetents.

that Federal Judge Ricardo Urbina dismissed the charges against the Blackwater 5, accused of manslaughter for a shoot-out in a public square in Iraq. The judge, bless him, described the government’s (Eric Holder) actions as “all too often contradictory, unbelievable and lacking in credibility.” He also said that prosecutors “repeatedly disregarded the warnings of experienced, senior prosecutors assigned to the case,” Seems like the judge was at least saying that Holder’s boys were inexperienced, in over their heads, and plain just violating established case law by using statements that were given under a grant of immunity.
And these are the guys who think their case against KSM is a “slam dunk”? Or that they’ll have no problems with the Panty Bomber? Lord, help us.

  • johnt

I’m sure Holder would prefer to jail some Republicans but you have to take your fun where you find it.

What human puppets…they treat woman like cattle and kill their kids, bomb & behead…its a cult…I took that “religion” in grad school as part of Medieval History…before PC-ism..violence is no big deal to them…

until the Quran is edited and a few paragraphs are removed…the ignorant borg will continue the mass murder…imagine any real church where the priest or preacher spews hate week after week…

sadly, we have spineless dupes (aka democrats) that deny reality…there will be at least 1 successful attack this year because their talk never matches their actions…and its actions like policy-procedure changes that profile moslems age 18-40…we are screwed…
I never fly or take trains or lived in a top 15 big city….the whole deal is now owned by the Obama-ites…

Barack Obama is vulnerable on terror ? and he knows it

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/6924404/Barack-Obama-is-vulnerable-on-terror—and-he-knows-it.html

Complacency, faux moralising and partisan shots at Republicans. It was a neat summary of where Obama is going wrong after the Christmas Day debacle when the Nigerian knicker bomber managed to waltz onto a Detroit-bound flight.

For a man who campaigned denouncing the politicisation of national security under President George W Bush, it is worth noting how intensely political Obama’s treatment of what might henceforth be known as Underpantsgate has been.

His White House recognised its political vulnerability more readily than it comprehended the level of danger faced by Americans.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s father had courageously contacted the American Embassy in Abuja in November and met the CIA station chief to tell him that his son was involved with fundamentalist elements in Yemen. American intelligence had also intercepted discussions in Yemen about a possible attack by “the Nigerian”.

See Above comment about Abdulmutallab’s father.

Classic mis-direction. We should be investigating the father.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should have been escorted off the plane by the military and placed into a military jail. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should have been waterboarded and asked about his father’s involvement. Now Obama has cut the balls off of our intelligence agencies and it will be the American Public paying the price.

    Ref: Daily Mail article

An unnamed official is quoted saying they forwarded enough info that someone in Washington could have connected the dots, and that having Obama blast them one day and then praise them the next (after the massacre) doesn’t cut it.

We saw under Bush that the CIA could do some pretty damaging leaks. Obama and Panetta had some earlier run-ins, so it will be interesting to see where this leads. Obama seems to have burned a lot of bridges here – tossing the CIA under the bus can do no good.

are nothing but a bunch of self serving, incompetent, career bureaucrats. It should be dissolved, some of it’s functions could go to the NSA and some to military intelligence.

I cannot remember the last time they were effective or got anything right.

obama and his administration are putting the people in harms way.we have these enemies who hate us.they think if we dont step on their toes they wont be a problem.ever war the americans fought we fought to win.and make no mistake this is a war.obama is painting a target on our backs.people stay mad and vote the unscrupulous people out of office.

  • DefendUSA

Haskell did indeed say this from the get-go about the second man. And on January 2nd, a Fox news report did confirm that the TSA let him go.

The FBI, the CIA and the TSA are incompetent boobs. The WH is calling this an *incident*!! Not to mention there was nothing *suspicious* about the fact the he was denied a visa, reported by his father…no, nothing to see here.

I wonder what the families in Ft. Hood are thinking…

On two levels. Do not repeat.

Or he would not have spent $20 million to import and house Palestinians who hate us all
And he would dismantle the 75 muslim training camps within the US.
He wouldn’t have 40 communist czars in the White House.
He thinks we need to be a third world country so he is siphoning (stealing billions of dollars off our economy), wrecking the health care system.
The FDA this week declared mercury safe but pryidoxamine (B6) a new drug and must remove it from private sale.
I think he is hoping to kill off the Christians and Jews on the planet.

I am afraid that Obama and his cronies will never realize that the terorists are out to destroy us. Or worse, perhaps our leaders DO know it and have treasonously decided to make things easier for the terrorists.

Terrorist attacks are an unfortunate fact of life in today’s world. They will never just go away. They cannot be rehabilitated. They should never be afforded civilian rights. This is a WAR and we must be ever vigilant, employ a very strong offensive against them, enhance our defenses, and deal with them as the war criminals they are.

American lives are at risk but that does not seem to concern the potus. I am sure the terrorist organizations love Obama. As long as he keeps his head in the sand, he can insure that the White House will not be a target.

When the time comes to vote, vote for candidates with integrity and backbone.

It looks like until November this year , we’re stuck with President Pantywaist. If we can FLIP the ENTIRE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES and get rid of incumbent senators MAYBE we have a chance to really stop this fool. ONLY if we get good people who love the U.S. Constitution.

  • edwlstr

Mr. Haskell would do well to do one thing immediately: HIDE. There are two ways for this vile, corrupt, socialist regime to avoid answering that question. The one that fits their M.O. best is to “dissappear” their antagonists. So, Mr. Haskell you might want to embrace a relationship with the Christian God through HIs Son, if you have not already done so, before too much more time gets by you. Franklin Graham is a man you could call to initiate that relationship. I believe that before the election of 2012, there will be a declaration of martial law because of some serious “crisis” and self-government, as we know it, will dissapear from the earth. I do not trust this administration any farther than I can throw Rahm Emanuel by his eyelashes.

  • edwlstr

wouldn’t that be political suicide considering that the key personnel of this administration are “incompetents”.

  • edwlstr

I imagine it in a suburb of Chicago. I imagine it in Trinity Church of Christ. I imagine our president being in attendance. I imagine his excuse after 20 years of being there, “I really didn’t hear him say those things”. After I got done imagining all of this, I felt kinda sick.

  • fleta

We were not told by the Clinton administration about Timonthy McVeigh’s contacts with men from the Middle East prior to the Okl. bombing because they didn’t want to “go there”.

Denying that a soldier, Major Hasan had contacts with the same cleric as the Nigerian who attempted to blow up a plane on Christmas day does not make it so. The only solution is to call him traumatized, instead of the terrorist he is…we should not give him an atty. and civil trial. We had ample warning about the Nigerian bomber, but ignored it. My elderly mother in a wheel chair was bodily patted down like you wouldn’t believe….and almost dropped as they moved her from the wheelchair to remove her shoes (she is recovering from a broken hip and rib). The Democrats have shown us that National Security is low on their list, if not non-existent. POWER to control us and bring America down to a country that no longer produces food, manufactures goods, uses it’s own energy, uses common sense, educates our children, and biggest of all change our morals so that we call evil good and good evil is what it’s all about.
