FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Meet Michael Meehan. Democrat.

He’s currently on loan to the Coakley campaign from the DSCC:

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging.

And this is the guy that attacked a Weekly Standard reporter last night after Coakley’s lobbyist-driven fundraiser:

You think that it’s the same guy? It looks like the same guy.

BIG HT: Hot Air.

Nicely played. I wonder if Meehan would shoot this reporter in the head if he thought he could get away with it.

and not accept a resignation. Fire him. Now!

    1. first the reporter should press charges and I believe Martha would have to give an acount of what happened seeing she had birds eye view

    2. If he did what he and Martha is staying quiet how nice of the AG of Massachusetts to stay so quiet and employee such a man

  • Duke

There are a couple things missing in this account of Coakley’s hired thug:

    1. No purple shirt – unless it was worn under the suit

    2. Lack of any contusions or loss of blood on the alleged victim

    3. The alleged victim has not been terminated by his employer due to government pressure

This is ‘Kennedy’s seat” and she’s entitled to it!

in panic mode don’t play nice, punch back twice as hard.

And if that doesn’t work, they open the gulags for your safety.

engaging in a little newspaper rivalry while standing up for truth, justice and the Democrat way.

I predict Olsen doesn’t get the Pulitzer for this shot.

it looks like the guy is wearing a purple sweater underneath his suit jacket.

  • brah

Coakley’s media hacks in Mass are already calling it a “stumble”.

“MA Attorney General, Martha Coakley, watches as reporter is assaulted – does nothing, walks on.”

Based on her record, I’m guessing this will not be a big shocker to the people of Massachusetts.

but I would want to see him in a line-up before saying for sure. Could you put him in a line-up with other known felons, aka Chris No-points Dodd, Good-Time Charlie Wrangel, Cold-Cash Jefferson etc..

  • proudgop

after all he is on loan from DSCC

Wonder if Mr Menendez brought him in from New Jersey?

They have a GREAT photo of it. If it makes the front page tomorrow – and there’s a fair chance it will – Martha suddenly has a very bad weekend.

Gotta love this one “Well I have watched the video and it wasn’t a stumble! What a horrible report….” and I would have to say I agree whole heartedly. But it is from the AP after all.

He was walking backwards and tripped over the railing. Michael is just reaching down to help him back to his feet. What a nice guy.

  • sharonmcp

Folks who live in Massachusetts need to make sure this gets statewide media attention everyday from now until election day.

Don’t let them sweep it under the rug!

He is apparently a card-carrying member of The Democrat Culture Of Thuggery (Rahm Emanuel, Chariman) and likely has an SEIU Card in his pocket as well.

How is the Downstream Media going to spin this one?

There are videos of Meehan on YouTube. The voice sounds very similar to the “gentleman” who knocked down the Weekly Standard reporter.

    I think not.

A commenter from the Boston Herald’s story:

“Called Coakley’s campaign office. They have the nerve to say she was not there when this happened.

For God’s sake, she is right there in the photos and videos!”

  • http://www.the41stvote.org rcov092

since it is “Ted Kennedy’s seat” and all, he would be sleeping with Mary Jo and the local magistrate would no doubt see it as “reckless walking”

  • proudgop

    Via The Hill

Meehan responds to The Hill: “I’m trying to find a good number for John. I got voicemail at (his) office.”

notice how Meehan does not deny the story.

be looking forward to a cosy thugocracy in Massachusetts? Go Scott, stop the rot in the state.

    Possibly more thuggery here ?

Seems in MA people are being jailed for filming things like this. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/01/12/police_cellphone_videos/
    Coakley thinks that is OK.

    Not her problem

  • capeindependent

I would have defended myself in a very loud and eye catching manner. If you ever find yourself in this situation yell “don’t push me… why are you pushing me” at the top of your lungs before you beat the crap out of the jerk. When the police arrive, press charges. The police can determine his identity at the hospital which is where he would wind up if he pushed me.

  • Charles Cianfrocca

I keep wishing, just once, one of these reporters would be packing. Film the original assault, and then shoot the son of a b**ch.

Let his *next of kin* try to deny he was there…

  • capeindependent

Where will they be next? I will see if they want to try pushing me. Of course that paper pusher would probably fall down trying to push me. I am a big guy and work for a living. We all keep fighting here. Brown signs are everywhere, I have not see a single Croak sign on the Cape. Everywhere I go I engage the people around me about the election and the balance Brown will bring to the Senate. I am hopeful as most I meet and speak with are already on board and I have converted a few who were not.

  • izoneguy

I guess they are moving to Massachusetts.

Video of the assault with text and voiceover “This is how Democrats who want to “socialize” everything for the “national good” treat reporters who ask questions they don’t want to hear… cut to scene of Nazi Germany (pick appropriate analog of Nazi thugs beating up someone) “this is how national socialists treat dissent when they have full control of every level of their society… pick the future for your children at the voting booth…”

    meets 2010…

  • sharonmcp

Coakley talked with reporters Wednesday about the incident during an event in Dorchester.

“I was coming out of an event, I talked with press, I went to a gaggle not unlike this, although it was outside and in the dark. I went to go because I had to get back to the airport,” she said.

“I know there were people following, including people from the Brown campaign who have been very aggressive in their stalking. I’m not sure what happened. I know something occurred. I’m not privy to the facts. I’m sure it will come out, but I’m not aware of that.”

“I do know the Scott Brown stalkers who have followed me around, and the people at that press conference who were for very right-leaning publications, were incredible aggressive about trying to get in my face. I didn’t see what happened so I can’t say.”
