Marcia, Marcia, Marcia…

(Via @CalebHowe) What did you do in a previous lifetime to deserve this, AG Coakley?  Drive a bus full of kittens and baby harp seals off a cliff?

…then you know we have a lot of digging to do, but some work needs to be done and this president’s in the process of doing it and we need to get Marcia Coakley to help him to do that.”

(Curiously, [Rep Patrick] Kennedy [D, RI] mentioned Coakley repeatedly during his remarks to reporters, each time referring to her as “Marcia,” not “Martha.”)

‘Curiously?’  I can think of at least three reasons why it wouldn’t be, and one of them doesn’t even imply a substance abuse problem on Kennedy’s part.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), speaking with a gaggle of reporters after the event, said that while state Sen. Scott Brown (R) offers voters a quick fix, in reality, the problems created by “George Bush and his cronies” are not so easily solved.

“If you think there’s magic out there and things can be turned around overnight, then you would vote for someone who could promise you that, like Scott Brown,” Kennedy said. “If you don’t, if you know that it takes eight years for George Bush and his cronies to put our country into this hole … then you know we have a lot of digging to do, but some work needs to be done and this president’s in the process of doing it and we need to get Marcia Coakley to help him to do that.”

More Kennedy: “One thing the Democrats have done wrong? We haven’t kept the focus on this disaster on the Republicans who brought it upon us. We’ve tried too hard to do that right thing, and that’s to fix it, as opposed to spend more of our time and energy pointing the finger at who got us [here] in the first place.”

So the Democrats’ biggest problem is that they haven’t done enough finger-pointing at Bush? Can we have him become DNC Chairman PLEASE? That is sure to be a winning strategy in 2010 and 2012. Maybe he can convince Obama to make that the main point of his SOTU address.

I saw the report of this on Politico and couldn’t help laughing. The screw-ups and gaffes by the Dems in this seemingly un-loseable race are hysterical.

And I can imagine the mantra beating through every Dem politician’s thoughts over this weekend. “If it could happen in Massachusetts…”

From the 1940 feature film Ghost Breakers, starring the late, great, Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard:

Scientist: “It?s worse than horrible, because a Zombie has no will of his own. You see them some times, walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.”

Bob Hope: “You mean, like Democrats?”

Clearly, the drugs he takes screwed up his head

I pray people of RI defeat this clown next

was very helpful either. Certain irony in it as The Big Dig has been a complete disaster for them. Something about finances and cost overruns, and corruption, and labor and yes, tragically lost of life. I believe the Dems own that particular project.

… STOP DIGGING… and is why, for the first time in practically forever, a Republican has a shot at this seat!!!!!! Some folks in MA finally figured out that Obama, Reid, Pelosi, won’t stop digging and someone has to be sent to DC that will force them to stop digging.

to Health care reform. It’s getting late, and it’s time for us to smash through them. Who’s with me?”

  • Carol Tarasewicz

She deserves it, read the series on Big Journaism.com. There is a five part series on Martha’s problems, arrogance, dancing on Ted K’s grave, etc. Some have filed complaints against her.

When The Boston Globe has bad article about a dem, it’s not good, There is one from January 5 saying Martha was seen lax in 2005 rape case. Rape was of a 23 mo. old with a curling iron by her uncle. Martha let him go, no bail, because he was a union cop and his father was getting endorsements for herr AG campaign and, of course, money.

with work and with the twins on the way, (one boy and one girl). Expecting in May, and my wife may have them early if they continue to grow at the current pace. 20 weeks 17 oz and 15 oz respectively, the boy is the top one btw.

Anyway, for those wondering I am pessimistic about the MA election in reference to the polls that are coming out; therefore, in an effort to be an optimist I have decided to keep my mouth shut.

Lastly, I do read RS everyday but thats about all the time I have.

I couldn’t be bothered to go and find it to cut & paste parts of it, but the gist of it was “Coakely is a Democrat, and we need a democrat…..don’t vote for Brown because he is a Republican”…..

They migth as well have written…you are from Mass. you have to vote D, no matter who is running…..

I dont engage in cheerleading excercises and blind wishful thinking either. The polls sont mean much. It could go either way. It still about the Democratic base and whether they go to the polls or not.

  • builder20

…Marcia! The truth is I never left you! All through my wild days, my mad existence. I kept my promise!

This is what the Union workers will be singing after she looses on Tuesday! All while feeling great that they secretly voted for Brown!

    On another note:

Near the end of Obamas speech he stated how horrible Brown would be as a Senator, but then stated he had no idea what his policies are, and knew nothing about him. I guess it just shows that Obama cares only for the title in front of a name, and not about the person and their ideas.

let me say something relevant about hiim: worth remembering:

Barack embraces evil dictators around the world. Barack tolerates the slaughter of innocents in Iran. Barack has no love for this country. The explanation for this can be found in a quotation by Edmund Burke who became Prime Minister of England. He was a great admirer of the American Revolution of 1775 and a harsh critic of the French Revolution of 1789:

?A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate.?

usually good when analysis/opinion that isn’t the direction people would most likely want to hear with “I hope I’m wrong….” language ;-) lol.

I agree with Swamp, could go either way… and I honestly believe that, but THIS IS MASS, it didn’t turn Purple all of a sudden – it is a one-off chance!!!! People dragging out every “My Uncle Charlie has called 3 random people in MA” and Croakley is certain to lose type posts drive me crazy. This is MA, it is still an uphill climb — but we have a chance (FINALLY) and need to ensure we keep everyone staying involved to the end (and going off the deep end with; “it’s in the bag” or “there’s no chance what-so-ever”; either way, doesn’t help that at all).

It seems that the Rhode Island Congressional seat is de facto a Kennedy family possession. When the Kennedy clan leaders need to find a job for one of their kids, they can send them to Rhode Island, en route to Washington.

Do the Kennedys sign off on Rhode Island’s laws, too? Does the RI legislature have to send everything to Massachusetts for final authorization? Or, do the Kennedys send a staffer down to Providence when the legislature’s in session?

Wonder what it’s like to live in a colony…

  • bs

I would think that the rest of America would be laughing their collective butts off at the Dems by now. It’s been a year, folks. That dog don’t hunt any more.

For the most part, he did not blame Clinton, even though it would have been certainly true and more than just. Also, he has not criticized the “O” Man once or even defended his own record.

Like I said: A class act.
