New White House strategy: Sauve Qui Peut.

Oh, this should be fun:

Plouffe stepping up role as adviser to White House

David Plouffe, the man who managed President Barack Obama’s campaign, will be taking on an expanded role as an outside adviser to the White House, according to sources familiar with the plan, a move that comes just days after a stunning defeat for Democrats in a Massachusetts Senate special election.

And why is it fun? Because as the Fix kind of notes, Plouffe’s relevant career can be summed up by two iterations of ‘OfA:’

  • Obama for America.  A group dedicated to electing Barack Obama President.  Accomplishments: the nomination and election of a single-term Senator with no executive experience President of the United States, in the face of both primary and general election opposition.
  • Organizing for America.  A group dedicated to championing and popularizing the legislative and executive achievements of the Democratic party.  Accomplishments: two words, one of which is ‘jack.’

So… the White House is bringing in a guy that’s good at running a group that makes one other guy look good, and who is involved with a group that is noticeably bad at making a political party look good.  And who has wasted no time whatsoever in telling members of said political party to simply intensify what they’re doing, now.

I repeat: oh, this should be fun.

    …a Dick Morris.

Plouffe will be out there telling the Dems to either push harder for socialism or telling them to lie to get reelected/elected and then when on office go back to the far Left.

The GOP theme in 2010 IMO should be the fight against domestic socialists.

He would be the musical equivalent of a matinee idol empty suit.

If you don’t know who he was, here is a clip that, I believe, foreshadows the post-neo-Plouffe version of Obama at his next big performance:

And re Plouffe, I have another visual. You know when your pillow is all flat and uncomfortable and won’t support your head comfortably. What Plouffe will do is punch Obama and squeeze him and plump him up until the drones recognize their king, once again.

OBAMA CAN CALL WHOEVER HE WANTS. IT WILL DUE HIM NO GOOD. OBAMA CANT SEE PAST HIS NOSE. A LARGE NUMBER OF FOLKS SAY HE’S VERY SMART, NOT SO. OBAMA WILL SURPASS JIMMY CARTER AS THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER. NO MATTER WHAT TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL HE ASSEMBLES THEY WILL NOT HELP HIM TILL HE GOES INTO REHAB FOR EGO-ITIS, HE HAS ALL THE SYMPTOMS. THE USE OF I EVERY FIFTH WORD IN A SENTENCE. SUDDEN OUTBURST OF ANGER WHEN HE LOOSES. LASHING OUT AT HIS OWN COUNTRY AND IT’S PEOPLE VS. GOING AFTER OUR COUNTRIES ENEMIES AND THE TERRORIST THAT INHABIT THEM. YEP EGO-ITIS FOR SURE. I’D OFFER TO HELP HIM BUT I’M A CENTER RIGHT CONSERVATIVE AND I REALLY WANT HIS AGENDA AND POLICIES TO FAIL.. IT’S NOTHING PERSONAL I JUST LOVE MY COUNTRY AND WANT IT TO BE AS OUR FOUNDERS INTENDED IT TO BE AND THE WAY IT WAS TILL THE PROGRESSIVE EXTREMIST CAME ALONG.

Your Caps Lock is on. This problem is easily fixed.

    1. Locate the key on your keyboard that says “Caps Lock”

    2. Press it once

    3. Never press it again

  • sta46

the taxpayers are picking up the tab for this.
Pay plouffe 80 gazillion dollars to stuff something down our throats that we most assuredly do not want and we get the privilege of underwriting his efforts “on our behalf”… great.
I don’t suppose he would consider using the 1.4 mil he got from oslo for plouffe’s salary? His charity of choice was probably ACORN, which would be why we haven’t heard anything about it. He could have scored big if he had given it to the Red Cross for Haiti.

November doesn’t need to be a nightmare for Democrats

This moron writes up what Obama & the dems are going to do.
Easy pickings. The democratic parties carcass will be picked clean
even before the November elections if they follow this fools plan.

  • Old_Crow

but Plouffe did it in the WaPo article.
The democrats, if they follow this nonsense, will lose big this fall.
But more important, how much more destruction will they do to our economy, our security before we can throw them out.

To quote Senator Bayh, “If the Massachusetts election wasn’t a wake up call, you’re never going to wake up”.

Plouffe and Obama want to stay asleep, living in dreamland.

Like it or not, typing in all caps is viewed by just about everyone on line as the equivalent of shouting, and it’s considered quite rude. If you want a distinctive signature, try one that doesn’t put a “Kick Me” sign on your back.

These idiots really believe in this crap.
They feel that inside every hard working capitalist
is a Marxist dying to receive a handout. LOL

The sicker thing is this – that they can con millions of Americans in believing this non-sense. There is a place for these beliefs & values – it is called Europe – if you believe in hope & change – catch the next flight over and have a nice socialist life…….

  • clintonformccain

Who could make this stuff up? One of Pouffe’s suggestions to Democratic candidates in November is NO BED WETTING. Well, alrighty then.

No bed-wetting. This will be a tough election for our party and for many Republican incumbents as well. Instead of fearing what may happen, let’s prove that we have more than just the brains to govern — that we have the guts to govern. Let’s fight like hell, not because we want to preserve our status, but because we sincerely believe too many everyday Americans will continue to lose if Republicans and special interests win.

Don’t say that too loud. I think Plouffe is on to something with this strategy. It sounds like a winner to me. He should convince Obama go all in on this one. I hope they sit around all day and explain to each other how the American people will be inspired by this.

I know I don’t have anything to worry about really. Its not like any rational / sensible talk makes it into the white house echo chamber.

  • sharonmcp

In the scene shown here from The Ghost Breakers, Larry Lawrence (Bob Hope) and Mary Carter (Paulette Goddard) inquire of Geoff Montgomery (Richard Carlson) about the nature of creatures known as “zombies,” providing the set-up for a Bob Hope zinger:

    Lawrence: “You live here?”

    Montgomery: “Yes.”

Lawrence: “Then maybe you know what a zombie is”

Montgomery: “When a person dies and is buried, its seems there are certain voodoo priests who … who have the power to bring him back to life.”

    Carter: “How horrible!”

Montgomery: “It’s worse than horrible because a zombie has no will of his own. You see them sometimes walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring.”

    Lawrence: “You mean like Democrats?”

  • mbecker908

and worthy of being totally ignored.

  • sharonmcp

He did display one intelligent moment while writing that article…

“Voters are always smarter than they are given credit for.”

I also found this strategy interesting…

“We need to make our case on the economy and jobs — and yes, we can remind voters where Republican policies led us — and if we do, without apology and with force, it will have impact. ”

I guess Fluffy never read this from Politico.

“Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama?s declining support is that just 50 percent of voters now say they prefer having him as president to George W. Bush, with 44 percent saying they?d rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term, that?s somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country?s difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited. The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections. Using the Bush card may not be particularly effective for Democrats anymore.”

  • ex_scientia_vires

It doesn’t take a CBO accountant to do this math: Plouffe the Astroturfer is put in charge of WH shenanigans, as “Ellie Light” carpet-bombs the country with an Obama-phile manifesto.
When the cover is blown off of Ellie Light, it will make this sound: “PLOUFFE!”

  • bigalsouth

. . . that the longer that the Obama Administration governs, the more the independents discover that THEIR “Hope and Change” is not the same as OBAMA’S “Hope and Change.” Once buyer’s remorse sets in and the tingle subsides, the Dems are left to their tried and sadly true method of pushing their agenda: They lie like dogs.

  • johnt

are the same thing. The media can cover them on the first, the second is much tougher, not that they haven’t tried.
As another measure of the Obama crowd’s stupidity this works. As a measure of the importance or lack of it in regards substance it’s also indicative.

  • freedomfighterforliberty

YOU CANT CHANGE A LEOPARD’S SPOTS. THE FAVOR HE DID FOR ME FRIDAY IN OHIO WAS TO SHOW MORE DEFIANT ARROGANCE THAN EVER. I WATCHED HIS ANGER SPEW AND LASH OUT ON THE VERY PEOPLE THAT ARE WAITING FOR HIM TO MAKE DECISIONS THAT WILL PUT US BACK ON THE PATH OF PHYSICAL RESPONSIBILITY. AFTER LISTENING TO HIM RANT, I CALLED MY STOCK BROKER AND SOLD ALL MY STOCK AND PLACED THE CASH INTO A SAFE LOW YIELD FUND UNTIL THIS CLUELESS SO CALLED LEADER GETS IT, “WHICH HE NEVER WILL”.

IF BERNANKE IS NOT APPROVED THE MARKET WILL DROP 500 POINTS, AND THE FACT THAT OBAMA SUPPORTS HIM PUSHED ME OVER THE EDGE ON INVESTING. HE’S 0 FOR 4 ON MAJOR ENDORSEMENTS, WHICH LEAVES ME NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE THIS MAN AND HIS EXTREME FAR LEFT AGENDA AND POLICIES AN EMPHATIC AND RESOUNDING NO.

ALL THE PLOUFFE’S, AXLEROD’S, EMANUEL’S, JERRETT’S AND THE LIKE WILL ONLY DEEPEN THE HOLE OF ANGER AND DISCONTENT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, AFTER ALL THEY SPORT THE SAME SPOTS AS THEIR LEADER.

    Even cash won’t be safe……
Precious metals like lead & brass will give
you the most bang for your buck.
    Easy to trade as well.

Bottled water & toilet paper will be more valuable than cash.
    Stock up now.

Between now and the 2010 elections (if we have them) will
    be the critical time…..
If Obama pulls anything wierd after 2010,
well let’s say – I would not see a 2012 run by Obama if he
tried to pull a fast one.

Remember during the campaign how Plouffe and the other minions were so focused on not making Obama seem like an “angry black guy”?

Based on what I heard from mouthpieces Bobby Gibbs and Val Jarrett this AM on the Sunday shows it sounds like we are about to get both Obama barrels beginning on Wednesday night.

I love Obama the Elitist posing as Obama the Populist. I am pretty sure this act will be so phony as to not fool anyone(I hope). I, for one, am not watching SOTU because I am sure it will be a crock of anything but the truth.

    Don’t use all Caps

Typing a message in all capital letters is considered the equivalent of yelling online, and can be interpreted as being rude. Please don’t use all caps unless you have a very good reason to do so, and then state the reason (e.g. “I’m visually impaired, please excuse the use of all caps”). If others think you’re yelling by using all caps, you might get a rude response, or no response at all. But if you explain why, people will be tolerant.

I HAVE AGE RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION, BUT WONT USE THAT FOR AND EXCUSE, I NEVER HAVE. YOU GUYS HAVE A GOOD TIME. I’VE POSTED ON HUNDREDS OF SITES WITH NO PROBLEM.. THIS WILL BE THE LAST WORDS YOU’LL HAVE TO LOOK AT FROM ME.

Multiple studies have shown that lower case is easier to read than upper case– quit making excuses for not knowing how to turn off caps lock.

Amusing story: I know one company where one obnoxious employee insisted on sending email in all caps despite being told repeatedly not to. So one of the admins simply disabled caps lock on that computer. Problem solved!

I was going to ask the same thing.

It’s not just an idle question, however. I expect there are laws against the White House (funded by you and me) paying for anything related to promoting particular candidates or parties.

The announcement said this ‘insulatnt’ was going to work for the party (not the White House) but there was mention of other White House staff helping with this ‘strategy formulation’ and those staffers better be doing that nights and weekends ‘off the clock’ or it is still inappropriate use of taxpayer funds.

I did NOT agree to have my tax dollars pay for Dems!
