The obligatory ‘Jon Stewart smacking around Chris Matthews’ noon open thread.

As people are noting, Jon Stewart seems to be having quite the career monopolizing Blue-on-Blue comedy these days.  Said monopoly is probably going to abruptly change.

Open thread.

A top Hamas leader who died in Dubai earlier this month was killed by electric shock after an electrical appliance was held to his head, one of his brothers said on Friday, blaming Israeli agents.

    ——————-

Oy vey, here we go……. Always blame ‘my people’.

So, Teh Eeeeevil Jooooooooooos gave him da juice.

OK, you forced it out of me. Yes, we did it. I’ll even admit to devising the method.

The electrical appliance used was a Hobart 60-Quart Professional Bakery Mixer borrowed from Bagel Boy in Brooklyn’s Sheepshead Bay.

Getting the item into Dubai and having enough agents on hand was pretty easy.

It’s just that we tracked the sodding wanker terrorist into a park, so running the power cables to make the machine work was a bit of a problem.

Instead of “Israel blamed for killing of top Hamas militant in Dubai” it should read “Israel credited with killing of top Hamas militant in Dubai.”

Police in Colorado arrested a 28-year-old man accused of passing out in a McDonald’s play area and telling his two children to bite the officers who were trying to arrest him. Colorado Springs police said officers had to use a Taser on Joshua Alger to subdue him Wednesday after he allegedly passed out drunk at the fast-food restaurant.

Police said Alger refused officers’ orders and at one point told his children to “bite the officers’ faces off.”

Can’t possibly be the guy’s fault…….. It’s all the trans-fat in the food ; forced to eat at Mickey D’s because Bush ruined the economy ; the liquor/beer company adverts required him to drink their stuff ; his evil SUV drove on it’s own to the restaurant and they simply happened to be in the truck at the time.

Gotta go back to work……. I’ll stop now. ;-)

…but he is funny. Jon Stewart, though I disagree with his politics, is the best comedic pundit out there. His rant about the Democrats ineffectiveness after the special election in Mass. was great as well.

Not that he doesn’t have company.

    What does “wasn't” mean?

Or anything with the “&apos” etc?

I like the idea of the new feed, but I’m twitter illiterate.

    Very distracting.

Wanted Obama to win over McCain because McCain would have probably been too boring, and knew that Obama would be a more ratings draw.

  • irishgirl

somewhere along the line. Seriously, Stewart hit the nail on the head when he compared Matthews to Ron Burgundy.

More and more are going increasingly neurotic there.

Someone should check the air and water quality.

To put it mildly, this news chapped my arse today… considering POTUS is in search of a Jobs Bill, perhaps he should start with legitimate work to be done, no?

I have to agree with you. I was basically shocked when he abandoned space flight. It is simply unbelievable that we must now depend on the Russians and very soon the Chinese to get our astronauts into space.

The next be energy boost could well come from the moon with the possible mining of helium 3. Current though is that there is plenty on the moon and that it would go a long ways into easing into a true fusion reactor.

Too many jobs and inventions have come out of that agency for it to be treated as HRH is doing.

I’ll tell you why. Years ago there was an old lady in our church. She’d been there for 60 or 70 years. We got a really crummy young preacher, his first church and all that. Attendance started dropping and some were discussing going somewhere else.

Mrs. Bacon said, “This was my church before he got here, and it’ll be my church when he’s gone.” And she stayed, and he left.

Lots of those power hungry democrats have been in office since BO was in short pants. They plan on being there when he’s off getting his speaking fees and cheap women.

As his poll numbers sink, you can expect them to abandon him earlier and earlier. Hence, Cap’N Trade is dead as a Becker’s cat. And the KSM trial is out of NY as soon as someone said, “Move it.”

He will get more and more frustrated and less and less effective.

The bad news is, of course, when we take the House in Nov., it will suddenly all be our fault, but such is life. The Rs have broad shoulders. But now you know why this year is going to be a year of nothing burgers for BO.

You may not know this, and to save your tender sensibilities, I won’t tell you how I know but…

Did you know that a katydid will eat his own back legs if you feed them to him feet first? Just tuck his little toe in his mouth and munch, munch, munch…away they go.

I think of that every time I see a lefty react to Sarah Palin. There is something about her that makes them lose their natural levels of normal that they all pretend to have. All of a sudden, they yank of their feet, even if they’re right there on national TV and start chewing their way up their legs.

It’s really quite remarkable, when you think how far evolution has gone, to leave 52% of us still so closely related to a common insect.

Whoda thunk the Europeans would respect the privacy rights of citizens, more so than the US? Well, I guess when it comes to Obama, and his fall from grace in the International community, as well as the US, they aren’t taking any chances. They even moved the computer databases of this international company out of the US. I thought Obama, and his goons were setting the reset button, because, Bush really screwed us in the worlds eyes. Hahahaha.

Some may have seen this already.

    How bad is the Economy??????
The economy is so bad that:

I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

I ordered a burger at McDonald’s and the kid behind the counter asked,
“Can you afford fries with that?”
McDonald’s is selling the 1/4 ouncer.

Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their
    children’s names.

A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico.

Dick Cheney took his stockbroker hunting.

Motel Six won’t leave the light on anymore.

The Mafia is laying off judges.

    Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.

Congress says they are looking into this Bernard Madoff scandal. Oh
Great!! The guy who made $50 Billion disappear is being investigated by the people who made $1.5 Trillion disappear!

    And, finally…

My friend was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, his loss of savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., that he called the SuicideLifeline.
He got a call center in Pakistan, and when he told them he was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if he could drive a truck.
