Good guy.

Lee seems like a great guy. I’m just wondering why Erick and Dick Armey have chosen him over Cherilyn Eagar?

    I like this candidate.

Based on his website, he has a good overall platform and he especially seems to understand illegal immigration. I agree with his support of E-Verify and that illegal aliens must return to their home countries, and also his opposition to any form of amnesty, guest worker visas, and for illegal aliens to be able to “purchase” lawful status.

Good luck Mr. Lee. I’ll help spread the word.

Exactly! And, Cherilyn has been active in the conservative movement, nationwide, her whole like, has stood up for us, and knows what is going on. Unlike Mike Lee who has done NOTHING in the conservative movement. And, Cherilyn has the endorsement of Phyllis Schlafly who came to Utah and endorsed her.

I don’t agree with Mike Lee on this (and other issues)

Don’t send the individuals out of the country for jail time.

They should serve the time in the US, where we can make sure they serve the time, and then deport them. I don’t mean self deport either.

When the local county sheriff candidate and current District attorney found out there was anyone in the race that believed we should send them out of the country to serve the time they stood up in firm against that policy to that. We are tired of arresting someone, and then they get deported (or not) and them being back on our streets. The other countries don’t keep them.

Mike Lee has since modified/clarified his immigration policy, but it still has this major flaw.

I believe that Cherilyn Eagar is the only one running who has supported and been active in fighting for conservative values for the last 30 years at the local, state, national and international level. [That includes Bennett]

We can have a conversation about this, but the point I’m making is that Mike Lee seems to understand that the way to combat illegal immigration overall is to enforce existing laws and this (from his website):

5.Making clear that illegal aliens will not receive amnesty in any form, and must return to their own countries before applying for a visa; illegal aliens should receive no benefit from having entered the United States illegally, and should not be granted guest-worker visas or the opportunity to ?purchase? lawful immigration status. [end quote]

    Bingo.

Mike’s policy is for federal offenses and not state. He would rather have them sevre time in a jail of their nationality and save a tremendous amount of taxpayer dollars and also make them think twice about committing crimes here.

do not agree with Mike Lee on this issue. I realize Lee clarified his stand, but it is still the same.
