FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Racist Donny Deutsch slurs Marco Rubio (R CAND, FL-SEN).

Via Hot Air, check out the racial sensitivity of MSNBC/CNBC talking head Donnie Deutsch:

‘Coconut,’ for those lucky enough to have missed it up to this point, is a derogatory racial epithet hurled against dark-skinned individuals deemed insufficiently ‘authentic.’ It suggests that the individual in question is ‘brown on the outside, white on the inside.’ When used by someone of the same ethnic identity as the slurred individual, it takes on the additional connotation of ‘race traitor;’ when used by someone of Caucasian ancestry, it typically represents an opportunity to express racial hatreds in a socially acceptable manner. The Other Side has, shall we say, a history of such things; and if we ever have that full and frank discussion of race that’s been promised the first question that I plan to ask is going to be about precisely why this is acceptable behavior among them.

About the only thing mitigating this exercise in public racism is that it appeared on the Joy Behar show, which means that almost nobody saw it anyway.

    And a leftwing hatchet man…..

You know Crist is in trouble if the leftwing hatchet men have to slur his opponent.

A majority of Cubans ARE white.

  • Richard Mullins

That isn’t all that much dumber hosts on TV than that. It’s a good thing the Newbusters piece spoke on the charge from Victor Morales back in 1996. I can still remember it a lot because Bonilla was my former congressman(first live in TX-23 until 1994 then lived in TX-28) and I always admired Mr Bonilla. It always seem that the leftist TV shows will let say something racist as long as you on there side.

  • Doc Holliday

If a conservative had said it, he would be fired, there would be outrage, etc. Since it was a lefty, it won’t even get reported in the drive-by media and he will likely get a bonus or gold star.

  • Mark D

Who gave Joy Behar a show of her own? Yech..

  • Richard Mullins

as giving an idiot like Behar a show. HLN has no good ratings and who would want to hear Behar stupid voice.

  • RedBeard

Oh, wait… never mind… it was a leftie this time. No foul. Play on.

  • RedBeard

Who is this Donny Deutsch person? Am I supposed to know him?

I suspect he’s the only talking head who has a smaller following than Joy “The Brain” Behar.

    It’s Deusch. Donnie Deusch…the marshmallow.

  • Richard Mullins

and spelled it the same way. I do that a lot because I’m not sure it was correct, but I think he really Danny Donkey to me. I think Danny the Bloated sounds so right.

  • Doc Holliday

think about that one, they actually dumped him, the people they keep are failures so that says it all.

  • Repair_Man_Jack

Did he fail to kiss the muffin-like rear of His Keefness?

  • blooch

It’s actually Dousche, Donny Dousche. I swear it’s right this time.

the mean donkey on Pearls before Swine that hate lots of people. I think we need to enlist the help of Elle Elephant to get rid of crap.

  • Richard Mullins

“the Douche is strong with this one” or something to that effect?

  • Doc Holliday

I thought it, just didn’t say it :)

He had a show on PMSNBC or was it CNBC, called the big idea.

It started out interviewing celebs and such with a business angle. FAIL.

For a short period he switched focus of the show to small biz startups and mom/pop entrepreneurs, that was entertaining and informative.

He then went back to celebs. FAIL again.

Then had cramer on around the credit crisis and they both called armageddon and told people not to start any businesses. LOL.

After his show was canned he was on CNBC guest panels of freakin 8 people yelling and screaming at each other. That’s where his major left wing moronic bias really came out.

He’s your typical elitist left wing utopian with money.

  • blooch

I was just beating around the busch.

    Controversy

On February 22, 2010, Deutsch created controversy by calling Florida’s Cuban-American Senate candidate Marco Rubio the racially derogatory term “coconut”[1] on The Joy Behar Show.

  • IJB

Which, when you think about it, is even *worse*!!

  • Darin_H

I share a birthday with him…. at least we have the late Rodney Dangerfield and the assassination of JFK.

  • erod

coconut seeing how I’m a conservative Hispanic and all. That’s ok liberals can’t be racist can they?

  • 29Victor

commenter on the outside and a left wing hack on the inside?

    I vote for deutsch bag.

  • jayburd
  • sdeakins

    … or is that touche’?

  • redpens

that’s all we need to know.

  • RedBeard

Saying he didn’t know the term was a pejorative means that he is both uninformed (not good for a pundit) and stupid (using a term he admits he didn’t understand), or that he is a bald-faced liar.

So, in other words, he’s a perfect fit on Behar’s show.

Racism is a Darwinian belief that there is a genetic superiority based on race. The racist we need to oppose are in the government at all levels. Those, by the power of the government, their position and power, reward or punish citizens based on race. That is the racism that should concern you. Not nonsense from the talking heads on radio or television.

  • Richard Mullins

That way HLN has a pair of nuts on the same show. The ratings might go up slightly but that’s only because they want to hear the crap from Deuche. A flood of email will be sure to follow.

    …on this one.

By the way? Don’t ever apologize for racists again on this site. Understand? Please indicate that you understand in your next post.

  • Ireland

I don’t know who he is and don’t care what he says. Knowing he supports moderate Republican Charlie Crist. With this Douche bags support, Charlie is doomed.

They have to understand that we will no longer by their liberal and moderate opinions, we still reject what they say, yet they still keep talking. Now, who are the naive or stupid ones?

Obama’s policies are not working because he does not what them to work. Sane Americans have emerged from the liberal cesspool of insanity.

Donny, instead of talking smack, you should may start listening instead, you actually might learn something for a change. You?ll won?t learn anything from Joy Bahar, she just another left wing nutcase from showbiz.

  • lightfootletters

How you can discern any kind of apology for anyone is a mystery. There is nothing that you could even infer an apology. And the idea that some dufus on the radio or television is more important than race based policies of the Federal Government, like race based quotas, college admissions, immigration policies ect., is even a bigger mystery. I do not know if you are just ignorant, uneducated, a partisan hack as to blind you to reality like most Democrats, because that is what you sound like, or you are just having a bad day. No matter, you need to get your priorities in a more important order.

  • lightfootletters

Yesterday, the Democrat-led U.S. House of Representatives voted basically along party lines, 245 to 164, to divide Americans up by race even further, and design governments according to individual heritage – hogan post

Deutsch got all bent out of shape when he interpreted a remark made by Ann Coulter as anti-semitic, yet, he used a slur against someone belonging to another group.

The stupidity regarding this coconut slur is that Rubio is certainly not brown on the outside. The man is not even? tanned. He’s white, clearly of pure European ancestry as many Cuban Americans are. This makes Deutsch’s remark all the more objectionable as it demonstrates extreme ignorance on top of bigotry.
