Actually, *Davey*: make mine. Keep pushing this health care bill.

Because you ain't so tough.

And this ain’t 2008.

Confident Axelrod challenges GOP: ‘Make my day’

One of the president’s top advisers confidently predicted Sunday that Congress will pass healthcare reform and dared Republicans to advocate repealing it during the 2010 elections.

We ran a Republican in Massachusetts on the explicit promise that he’d do everything in his power to spoke the wheels of your party’s disaster of a health care bill – and he won in a walk.  We’ve got states like New Jersey calling for junking the current mess and starting over.  And the ‘debate’ so far consists of a lot of people trumpeting their ‘no’ votes, almost nobody bragging about their ‘yes’ votes – and nobody brave enough to admit yet that they plan to go from ‘no’ to ‘yes.’  And you still want to dance?  OK, then: let’s dance.

Davey.

AXELROT is pushing the premise that the bill will pass and he is trying to bait others into accepting his fait accompli taunt.

It doesnt matter, because the bill is not going to pass as long as we choose to fight. We wont have to run on repeal because there will be nothing to repeal.

if he actually believes what he’s saying, or is just crowing today’s version of the Party line. Either way, it must be hard to be a professional liar.

My father’s apolitical spouse sent me an email on HCR forward she received that the sender basically encapsulated as “THIS IS VERY SCARY!!!!”

That was about a month ago. The truth is definitely out there when “independents” are going bats hit crazy.

About that same time, I asked a 20-something social justice Obama groupie coworker if she cared about HCR. She said yes and when I said something about how it is looking for The One’s agenda, she pretty much acted like he was a big dope.

    There you have it.

Call Congress, email everyone you can think of–they may not go around badmouthing Obama, but they most likely think he’s dummkopf.

I’m pretty sure this whole “we’ve got the votes” thing is a scam to make their shaky Dems more confident that it’s actually going through. So they’re lying to their own side about what’s happening to give them false confidence. The question is will they take this game of chicken to an actual vote to see if their house of cards falls down – or will they save face when the numbers don’t add up and postpone.

My rep – Carol Shea-Porter is in hiding (NH – D1).

We’ve got solid candidates running against her. A yes vote on this will put the fork in her.

Apparently, she awaiting the permission of Queen Pelosi before she takes a stand.

This is what passes for leadership in the world of Democrats.

Wouldn’t be the first time a legislator told the whip he was with him so that he could avoid feeling the Whip or Governor/President’s special love and then when the time came voted for his own re-election.

Between Pelosi, Van Hollen and Axelrod, they either know that they will be employing the Slaughter slaughter, or they are as some believe, trying to put a spit shine on shi….

Old Clint E, Axelrod ain’t. If I were Clint Eastwood, I’d sue Axelrod for destruction of his signature line.

… reminds me so much of Josef Goebbels.

Did you know that to be a “native born citizen” of the USA, and be Constitutionally qualified to be president of the USA, both your parents must also be natural born citizens of the USA. The SC has ruled 4 times on just this subject.

Remember what he is banking on. 1- The Republican establishment is not much different than the Democrats. Graham, Snowe etc. will not be all worked up to reverse it. The Dems could beat them up with the “how hateful they are” speech given to the unwashed masses in America who very comfortable with getting free stuff. The Republicans will take the “let us modify the bad parts” position. They won’t but they’ll take that position.

2- Until the reality of being taxed and nothing comes out of it sinks in, Most people are sheep and will go along to get along. This is the biggest threat to Axelrod’s plan. More than people love getting free stuff from the government, they hate being taxed and getting nothing in return. For those already suspicious that they are getting screwed, the Republicans can make hay with “You’ve paid. So where’s your care?” Most uninformed people are fairly simple and like bumper sticker lines they can remember. This is the end result of public school not teaching the basics in civics, Constitution and American History.

There are going to be enough bad things in the bill to fill a ton of ads.

I am so sick of that lunacy.

We have real work without the tin foil hatters getting in the way.

We can still run against the bill regardless, and it’s better to beat the bill now than to have to repeal it against a hostile President.

    1. The republicans will have to have their feet kept to the fire. That means we will have to work them up to reverse it. The same way we have worked on the Dems to not pass it.

The ‘unwashed masses’ (kinda arrogant sounding) are not the danger; they don’t vote much and are a relatively small portion of the population. The biggest reason that entitlements live on is the middle class. And the middle class is getting tired of this. They also know this can’t go on forever.

The dems won’t be able to ‘beat them up’ with anything if the republicans use their head (a dangerous proposition, I know); they have squandered any credibilty they have left.

    2. The reality of taxes and nothing coming is immediate if this goes thru. You are right about the Republicans making hay.

As far as the education comment, dead right. Texas took a step in the right direction last week. Let’s make it happen elsewhere.

governments preemptively stating that they will not follow Obamacare should it become law. The Democrats won’t talk about it but they will be in for a massive Constitutional challenge from the states if this crap sandwich is shoved down our throats. The Constitution is clear, the federal government has no authority to takeover health care. None.

VA is the most recent state to pass such legislation: http://libertymaven.com/2010/02/01/virginia-senate-votes-to-nullify-obamacare-mandate/8827/

and then make certain they understand that there will be bloody revenge.

Michael Gerson wrote this week about Democrat Ron Wyden’s comment from the Wall Street Journal last June:

“Wyden has turned out to be the ignored prophet of the health debate. “If you … just pound it through on a partisan vote,” he said last June, “you have people practically as soon as the ink is dry looking to have it repealed.”‘
