‘Stuck-on’ Stupak… stuck on Stupak’s EO.

Turns out that the Obama administration is taking Stupak’s Executive Order as seriously as… well, everybody else:

President Obama signed the Senate health care bill into law Tuesday. He did not sign the executive order on abortion negotiated with Michigan Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak in an 11th-hour arrangement that may well have saved the entire health care reform effort.

A White House official told Fox, Obama will not sign the Executive Order Tuesday and has set no specific date to do so. Stupak predicted Obama would sign the order later this week. The White House said only that Obama would sign the order “soon.”

Now, it’s like this. It’s one thing to be a prostitute. It’s another thing to be a cheap prostitute. It’s yet a third thing to be a cheap prostitute who accepts Monopoly money. But to be a cheap prostitute who gets stiffed on your Monopoly money? That takes skill.

Moe Lane

PS: I recognize that Hot Air has a valid argument that eventually the President will stop tormenting Stupak and give him his Monopoly money, but AoSHQ’s implicit rejoinder that Stupak hasn’t degraded himself enough for it yet (he’s getting there) has a certain truth there, too.

PPS: My apologies to prostitutes, of course.

This is how they will play this game as well as the counter the repeal effort:

“To that I say, ‘Bring it on,’” said White House domestic policy chief Melody Barnes, who cited similar suits filed over Social Security and the Voting Rights Act when those were passed. “If you want to look in the face of a parent whose child now has health care insurance and say we’re repealing that … go right ahead.”

  • Doc Holliday

Obama should stiff him and laugh when he goes down in November.

  • proudgop

Roll Call had an article how he went to a bar in DC the night the bill passed and was surrounded and kissed on cheeks by a lot dems ( i wonder what cheek they meant although)

as they say stupid is as stupid does

  • rodney_robbins

Using the cheap prostitute metaphor was good, but not entirely accurate.. The Stupak prostitute betrayed the pro life groups who had backed him. That adds another layer of sleaze! But really, who is surprised???

  • redpens

    How proud he must be.

  • partyof1

or as they put it, “abort” of the EO, before it’s even signed.

I say to all you Democratic women Senators, who now have the fate of American women and the health care bill in your hands: Walk over to the White House, and say you’re not having it, you’re not having that Executive Order

I have good money that says he never gets the Executive Order from the President.

What do you call a prostitute that does not get paid? I’m not sure the word is appropriate to use here but I can say that the W is silent.

Regardless, he did get the money for the three airports so he did get some BLOOD MONEY.

This is getting to be too comical!

As I read Moe’s post, Lindsay Graham is telling Greta that college loans are going to cost $1700 to $1800 more because of the government takeover of college loans to pay for health care…

[How's that "change" feel now, kids?...That's about 170 12-paks of beer that Obamacare just cost you!]

Then, I read Moe’s comment above:

Now, it?s like this. It?s one thing to be a prostitute. It?s another thing to be a cheap prostitute. It?s yet a third thing to be a cheap prostitute who accepts Monopoly money. But to be a cheap prostitute who gets stiffed on your Monopoly money? That takes skill.

    Now, that is priceless!

not even a copy. Judas got his 30 pieces of silver.

I don’t mean to go off topic, but along with the student loan fees to pay for this scam of a healthcare bill, the tan salons have a 10% tax on them starting today. Backroom deals, hiddent taxes… Well, hidden in plain sight taxes anyway.

that Stupak spelled backwards is Kaput-s. Which I assume he will be in Nov…

rather than sneering at Stupak… but he does indeed need to feel the “love” for this ultimate idiotic maneuver. I posted the following in the “How” thread (please pardon the repost, but I needed to do it for my own mental health):

I?m still seething over Stupak?s double cross? what a Judas. Using this EO as a fig leaf is the equivalent of giving Americans the finger. It practically screams ?you people are STOOPID!?

For cryin? out loud, there?s no way that the man could think for a second that an EO could prevent the implementation of a selected bit congressional legislation. This EO is nothing more than a line-item veto by another name, and SCOTUS already shot that down, IIRC.

These people think we?re a herd to be managed? and with this monstrosity now the law of the land, we?re also a herd to be culled at their pleasure.

Stupak?s opponent?s about to get some of my hard-earned (and limited) $$$.

As always, in the meantime, we must keep our wits – it’s key to turning this thing around

When obama signs the EO Pro Lifers must hold him up a true believer and strong ANTI abortion president complete with TV prime time ads and photos and watch the pro choicers GO BANANAS … Hmmmm now if we could only get him to sign an EO banning gay marriage and gays in the military..

  • dio55

    LMAO

  • chbroussard

may become the poster child for the gift that keeps on giving. The longer this EO gets drug out, the dumber he looks. Wondering if he’s having a good time with all the others that Obama has thrown under the bus. It’s getting pretty crowded under there.

  • mich22

    was brilliant, Moe.

  • spainishirish

Stupak has done us all a favor: he has shown the folly of the belief in “moderate Democrats,” “conservative Democrats,” “pro-life Democrats,” and on an on. There only are left-wingers in that party these days, and some just have to hide it more than others.

Hundreds of Thousands in Airport Grants to Stupak?s District Two Days Before Vote

Three airports in the district of infamous fence-sitting and ultimately kowtowing Democrat Bart Stupak were awarded $726,409 in grants by the Obama Administration just two days before a vote on Obama and Pelosi?s government takeover of healthcare.

Alpena County Regional Airport received a $85,500 grant, but had only 7,519 passenger boardings in 2008 (the most recent year for which there is information) according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) data. Alpena County Regional Airport serves fewer passengers than even the late Rep. John Murtha?s famous ?Airport for Nobody.?

Delta County Airport has even less customers than that, but still received a $179,209 grant.

Chippewa County International Airport received a $461,700 grant, but had only 13,733 passenger boardings in 2008.

I’ve donated to the 1st Ohio District opponent of Steve Driehaus (one of Stupak’s gang) and then I emailed the receipt to Driehaus (with a few choice introductory comments, of course).

His opponent is former congressman Steve Chabot, who was one of the most fiscally and socially conservative members of congress. He was beaten by 51.4% of the vote in 2008, and his district unfortunately includes all of downtown Cincinnati which had a high turnout for Obama. I live in the 2nd Ohio District which has a safe reliable conservative rep, “Mean Jean” Schmidt, so I have made a pet project of the retirement of Steve Driehaus from all public life.

  • gekster

and now we can hold this up.

I don’t understand how they equate public funding of abortions with the “fate of American women”. That’s a little melodramatic. If some woman gets knocked up why can’t she pay for her own abortion. Or the Richard who knocked her up? The connection these pro-abortion lunatics make between public funding of abortion and the act itself is ludicrous. As if somehow all abortions would suddenly be illegal if the public weren’t forced to pay for them. These people are pro-death. I simply can’t understand it.

  • http://charlemagne-the-hammer.blogspot.com/ DerKrieger

That needs to be our goal for all these socialists. Drive them from the field. Don’t allow them to benefit in anyway from their public “service”. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, destroy it.

  • http://charlemagne-the-hammer.blogspot.com/ DerKrieger

…to show me a child that now has health insurance since the so-called benefits are years away. And if she can show me that child I want to know why that child doesn’t have insurance. We can’t allow the Dems to parade their victims in front of us any longer without challenge.

Liberalism is the triumph of emotion over reason.

In no way will this bill change the status quo as predicted, supporters say insurance companies deny healthcare yet they are ignorant and fail to point out any hospital owned by insurance companies. Most of our hospitals are municipal hospitals subsidized by the government already, thus if any one is dying in the streets because of lack of care it is the governments fault or those that do not seek treatment. Seems ridicules, the supporters want more government but the government is the problem and not the solution.

Bart Stupak is a ?baby killer? and worse, this bill is like giving a murderess pedophile a daycare job all alone. Analogy, we do not allow suicide bombers on airplanes for a reason, this bill not only gives the right of every suicide bomber on airplanes, it also allows them to carry their bombs with a promise of don?t do that. Our Constitution clearly explains limited government for a reason, government does not belong there in the first place. Therein Bart Stupak opened the door to federally funded abortions over a worthless IOU of don?t do that. We warn our children not to take candy from strangers, maybe Bart Stupak needs some parenting.

  • romatrast

I don’t think we want to join our opponents in using Alinsky’s sordid tactics. What would that make us? More of the same.

We have to teach people how to see through that crap. A very difficult task, indeed.

  • eswan9

To come up with such a perfect analogy, takes skill

    Kudos, Moe

  • avgjo

Frankly, I think just pushing them out of public life is too generous. We should follow them into the private sector, and make sure the only job they can get is burger flipper.

They want to ruin our lives. We pay them back in kind.

This bill is the equivalent of a gun at the head of every severly sick child, invalid and elderly person. People who target those too weak to defend themselves deserve NO MERCY.

Why on EARTH should they get to enjoy the fruits of their dishonesty and bullying?

Snap out of it. If you don’t have the stomach for real politics, get out of the ring and let us handle it.

  • treeofliberty

I for one am tired of conservatives playing the “intellectual gentlemen” and trying to make “nice nice” with 60s radicals and socialists hell-bent on destroying the country.

They are the most sleazy, corrupt, disgraceful group of pols I have seen in my life. This includes previous Democratic Congresses which as we all know ain’t setting the bar too high.

There is nothing legally I would be against when it comes to punishing these vermin that use the most corrupt means to destroy the country from within. Nothing.

I’ve got Nov 3 as the day the Executive Order would be reversed. Looks like mschmitt is gonna come closest to “never signed”.

I’m not ready to join the “ends justifies the means” crowd just yet, but I believe in the Golden Rule.

If they are doing unto us as they’d have us do unto them, we should oblige.
