Man, I’m worried about getting punched by that Obamacare bill!

Because when they finally pass that thing, it’s supposed to have this massive and immediate effect on public opinion (ten points to the President was former President Clinton’s guess, I believe)…

What? It passed last week? Well, what was the result?

One week after the House of Representatives passed the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, 54% of the nation’s likely voters still favor repealing the new law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 42% oppose repeal.

Those figures are virtually unchanged from last week. They include 44% who Strongly Favor repeal and 34% who Strongly Oppose it.

So, you’re saying that I’ve already gotten hit, and I never even noticed?

Well, we are talking about Democrats, here. Can’t take a punch; can’t throw one, either.

I tell my friendes these awful true stories from RX and Powerline about Israel bein stiffed and they say “why are these stories not in the LA Times above the fold?’
Even if these people aren’t getting the news it is still at 54% opposed. when the word really gets out it could be going to 70% opposed.

Amazing how anyone can get the answer they want by pointing to their statistics…

One could also claim that support has indeed shifted, and quite considerably.

As you can see if you look at gallup’s numbers there was a 12 point shift in health care approval after it passed into law from a -3 to 9.

But that wouldn’t fit your narrative…

    …of the big, bad liberal?

Although one could probably contest both adjectives, there.

Gallup stinks. Uses “models” that highly favor Democrats based on general voter turnout and not likely voter turnout (Many Dems are too stoned/confused to vote and find registering and finding a polling place too intellectually challenging for them)

    Case in point: 2008 Elections

    Gallup final poll: Obama +11
    Rasmussen: Obama +6

…As the one you tossed the other day.

Either it’s the same poster (this one under a different screen ID), or all of the Leftie trollers have gotten the same ‘talking point’ marching orders from Kos, et al.

Either way, the fact that the polls haven’t moved *at all* in their direction must scare the pants off the Left and the nutroots…

(And, no, I’m not counting Gallup – it’s *one outlier poll*, and it polls All Adults not voters, which means it’s absolutely meaningless for the purposes of this discussion…)
