FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Quote of the Day, insulting analogies edition.

(Via neo-neocon, via Instapundit) Nancy Pelosi:

”It’s like the back of the refrigerator. You see all these wires and the rest,” said Pelosi. “All you need to know is, you open the door. The light goes on. You open this door, you go through a whole different path, in terms of access to quality, affordable healthcare for all Americans.”

So, you know, never you worry about the fact that the wires seem to be hooked up to a baby. Which is crying. And on fire.

PS: Yes, she really thinks that you’re this stupid.  Sorry.

In fact, the more ignorant a person is, the better for the leftie agenda. So all you supporters of Obamacare, forget finding out anything about it. Be good little dependents and let Nanny Nancy wet nurse you.

Er… sorry about that mind picture.

    on Obama outlawing internships.

    The comment fits both.

For these RATS and RACCOONS to just destroy every last thing that was once great about this country. They need to LIE about it to our faces as they’re doing it.
We won’t survive this RAT administration’s lies and destruction if we don’t do something BIG.
We need to RAM them with the facts.
Fact: This legislation will collapse this country’s economy (some estimates say we can expect the total meltdown to begin in earnest by 2013).
Fact: The passage of this abortion of justice was illegal, unconstitutional and WILL be repealed when Republicans take full control of congress next year.
And, finally, a FACT for our side: Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama are destined to fail, fail, fail just as they’ve failed at everything they’ve tried to do so far except their Maosist take-over healthcare.

    Facts.

    Boom.

Imagine the kickbacks given to Westinghouse to use their electronics, bribes paid to GE to outfit it with their lightbulbs. Then, in the end, when someone decided, after paying all that money to get it, they took it apart and looked at it to find that there was no compressor; instead there was just a giant block of ice, hidden in the back which would have to be replaced every few months at a tremendous cost.

That’s a much more apt analogy.

Of course she ignores the reality that the refrigerator was developed over many years by diligent, hard working individuals who used their talents, and not their pull, to build a device that has bettered the lives of people the world over. Forget that. Just think of the fact that the light bulb goes on. As though that’s the most complicated part of the unit.

This is almost too good to be true: “All you need to know (you mind-numbed, simpering, ignorant, bitter-clinging member of the general population and registered voter, you!) is some crap about a refrigerator. Now shut up and reelect me.”

If this isn’t a Vulcan mind-meld from Karl R, then the Botox has actually begun to seep into the gray matter. Either way, cheers!

  • NoDoze

look at the refrigerator or evaluate its features before we bought it. “Mommy Pelosi” told us to just trust government to give us what we need. How condescending!

  • TxCon

Just look at the last two election cycles. Why would she think any different?

  • renny

and stands 8 inches high when printed out–of course, it had huge margins, but still.

The Senate law is 2070 pages, so ,y guess is it would print out just under 2 feet thick, and I guarantee NO ONE knows, and Pelosi for sure not, what is in this horror.

Work for the night is coming in Nov. Check local tea parties. They are holding activist training–our own answer to Alynski.

The O only knows that it will save $3,000 in premium costs, and they all only know that the higher taxes will be paid four years before the plan kicks in.
Oh, and they also know that having spent all that money, taxes will have to be raised again.
But they don’t know about Greece, or don’t want to know.

  • josephusmyer

Once again, the left proves that it is anything but liberal.

Liberals believe that leaders are just as fallible as the rest. Pelosi clearly believes that Government can do no wrong. She is thus an authoritarian.

It’s strange that the ‘conservative’ movement displays the commitment to civil and economic liberty that is the hallmark of true liberalism, whereas the ‘Liberals’ certainly don’t.

Don’t call Democrats Liberals. Call them what they are – Lefties.

“….it’s signed into law, so get used to it.”

    “We all know…”

    “Look…bottom line…”

“We make up the rules as we go along…”

    “….we won.”

“…the debate is over; the science is settled.”

Well I got a quote. “Start packing for your trip home in November, you socialist vermin excrement.”

and you will not see wires and other stuff. That is of course if it was made in the last 15 or so years. My refrigerator is completely closed on the back like Nancy’s mind. I bet She hasn’t looked at the back of a refigerator in over 40 years. She just once again proves that she is an eliteist prima donna. What arrogance. We must find a way to get her out of the US House so she can go to her owwn house and maybe really look at the back of her refrigerator. No telling what ahe would find.

  • E Pluribus Unum

If Maytag or Westinghouse wrote the health care bill the way they design their refrigerators, I’d be somewhat inclined to at least have MINIMAL faith in what went into it.

Nancy presupposes, like you say, that the Democrats are entitled to some trust.

  • NeoKong

All the baking soda in the world won’t clean up the stink of that bill.
All Nancy needs to know is who she hands the gavel to next January.

  • ocleverone

    and met my needs. :D

  • kyoufuu

When the health care reform breaks, we’ll have the same fools who wrote the original bill fixing the problem (barring DOOM, of course).

  • nc_progress

Good luck trying to repeal this bill, great platform to run on, really. btw, i’m assuming you “real americans” are against medicare, social security, public schools, “government run” military, etc, etc, ad nauseum. you guys and you’re freak outs are truly hilarious…not a peep from you all when Bush stomped on everyone’s “liberties and freedoms”…yeah right

    Oh, wait…

  • Adjoran

It’s just that she KNOWS those who support her and Obama are. She is talking to them about all the free goodies they are going to get as long as they help fight the mean old us.

If the people behind this crap sandwich actually believed in the greatness of America I might be able to keep my fingers crossed that it could possibly succeed – - yeah, I know it’s failed everywhere else but AMERICA hasn’t ever tried it. Trouble is, these people hate America and everything she has ever stood for – - guaranteed epic fail.

    but…

At least she didn’t add “and the food is always there after the maid goes grocery shopping…” or “and we’re thinking that maybe we should just take the door off to make it easier for everyone to access the fridge…”
