Happy Switch Day, Snarlin’ Arlen…”

Well, I probably shouldn’t say this,” he said over lunch last month. ”But I have thought from time to time that I might have helped the country more if I’d stayed a Republican.”

“…’cuz we Do. Not. Miss. You.”

Thanks, I’m here all week!  Try the veal!

How the hell would it have been better if he had stayed a republican, other than making all the garbage that Obama and company has passed or wants to pass come across as bi-partisan.

Specter is a fricking joke, and will probably get ousted in his own Dem primary.

pandering a**. He sees the tide turning for conservatives and is trying to tiptoe back quietly. Give me a break!

…that would have been a great help.

Maybe it’s because his rotten behavior can’t be used to smear conservatives anymore.

He SWITCHED to the Republican party to run for Congress in the first place. He paraded around CLAIMING to be a Republican, accepting Republican support while voting, on the more important issues, as a liberal Democrat and when it finally caught up with him, rather than be held accountable by his constituents, he ran back to his old haunts.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I highly recommend following the second link in Moe’s piece to read the excellent expose of Specter, the aptly-named source of dread who wants to be back on the Judiciary Panel in time for the SCOTUS appointment.

he would have helped the Country more.

Specter used to play that card. Remember?

But notice how that’s all gone? Specter has been a down-the-line Obama/Reid/Pelosi vote since he’s switched. He’s made absolutely *no* waves. He’s no different that Levin or Leahy now.

All traces of “maverick-ism” are gone.
    The guy’s a total schmuck.
