Some groups have taken to seizing people’s cameras to delete the video before it can be posted. (Police have been especially noted for doing this if you are taping them, though it would not surprise me if other groups did it, too.)

A decent percentage of you have smart phones. Look for the app Qik. (Website www.qik.com has more detail and a list of supported phones.) You get an account with them (free account, free app), and link the app in your phone to the account.

Properly configured, taking video with Qik streams the video to the website on a password-protected account where you can post it to youtube, facebook, twitter, etc later. (At least that used to be, not sure now. The iPhone version now seems to have some security issues.) In a secure version, taking the phone does no good, as the video is already online where it can be grabbed and used later. In a less secure version, I would recommend attempting to lock your phone if someone is trying to grab it from you.

There may be another app that does similar. If there is, I’d love to hear it.

following MSNBC’s being leapt upon by many, many folks who had heard the Romney quote from beginning to end, was their lame “explanation” that they hadn’t had time to play the whole thing.

They then played only the edited part and what followed it, not the preceding remarks about the doctor who received a 33-page form to complete for changing his address. The context was, of course, that Wawa, being a free market private enterprise was so much more innovative and efficient than our government. But what they played managed to avoid any such clarification.

It was totally dishonest (no!), but likely effective with all those who had not heard the true “complete quote.” Lordy, these people really are evil.

I think one of the benefits of Romney’s speech style is that it makes the results of even deceptive editing unremarkable (IMO).

Its not enough to point out the biased editing. The pretense that a presidential candidate must be conversant with fast food touch screens should be challenged and debunked. Does anyone quiz their surgeon on his knowledge of touchscreens?

The Romney campaign REALLY REALLY REALLY need to steer the candidate away from this casual sort of folksy anecdotal story telling. Reagan was great at it, Romney is not.

Romney needs to be a look you in the eye big picture guy who knows how the economy works and how to make it work. Mrs. Romney and various surrogates can provide the warm fuzzies.

Who is trying to get his own message out, I enjoyed the speech portion. I have tried those machines, they are kind of neat, like the personal check out machines at Walmart, quicker and easier than standing in line behind 10 other people who all want to do the same thing you do, pay for their purchase and leave.
If we could just wake up the Federal Government to get out of the way and let the people do what needs to be done, it would be a heck of a lot faster, and much more effecient than 25 bureaucrats all giving different answers to the same question.

If conservatives were as bad as the left says we are, they would have no problems getting as much video as they could air. The fact that they have to make up things shows that they are involved in projection more than anything.

stations try this crap in this day and age. You would think they learned a bit of a lesson after the all powerful Dan Rather was punished for trying to twist information, but I guess they have not.

Way too easy to debunk bad news for anyone to think they can try to purposely twist the truth.

Back then it was barcodes. They filmed Bush in a supermarket marveling at the barcode technology that made it easier to scan items. The media made it look as if Bush had never seen a barcode, whereas he was making the same point Romney was, the superiority of the private sector in getting innovation to make people’s lives easier.

Rich Guy Out of Touch. It’s amazing how very few themes they have and how they go back to them even now, when they can be so easily refuted. They still think they control the media.

show “McCarthy” today, someone would record the show and it would be all over the internet and bloggers would have a field day running down all the “inacuracies.” MSNBC does not realize that times have changed and that they can and will be held accountable.
